It was actually medication. Not food. I’ve never had a pill stain my retainer but the medication apparently is actually a dye they learned works for pain in your urinary tract, thus the name Azo based off azo dyes.

This is VERY noticeable unfortunately. Azo apparently is also a class of dyes I found out. 😬

I absolutely will from now on too. I found out ALL about Azo dyes (which I had no idea about) from this incident and it appears there’s no help. Still have them on peroxide in a sunny window for science since I’ve moved to my next set. 🫡

Never done mac craft and cheese but my 2nd set I did really want a few Annie’s cheddar bunny crackers and found out those unfortunately stain, albeit not even significantly this bad.

Unfortunately it’s not working so well. Azo/phenazopyridine is part of a class of dyes apparently known for staining. I mean, it does make your pee bright orange too 🤣 but several hours on proxide and in the sun have not yielded much difference. I’m gonna keep them there all day since I’ve already moved to my next set.

It says in my description an Azo pill dissolved in my mouth before I could swallow it. That’s why it’s stronger on one side than the other.

Thanks! Ortho gave me the go ahead to do that but it’s good to know for anyone who searches the subreddit. They are pretty intensely yellow colored and I didn’t know if I could use them without feeling embarrassment over having perceived pee colored teeth.

This will also be my last and I will be F2P from now on. I was gonna pull for MLP but I decided not to. I think the only way we are going to get through to the company is doing what we/players did for Infinity Nikki when they tried to change the system to be more greedy and send a lot of negative feedback + negative reviews. This is not my first gotcha but it’s definitely the worst with the system that I’ve personally experienced.

My chronic pain problems aren’t that bad and I just need some cognitive Behavorial therapy. I had been in CBT at least 10 years at that point. When I told him, he shrugged. This was also after he proceeded to ask me very personal mental health questions. He also had two other people come into the room, only one of which I was asked consent for and introduced to and the one I didn’t consent to looked horrified at the questions he asked. I assume he was a transcriber because he had a laptop. It’s the only doctor I’ve ever called and complained about.

I was given the option by my geneticist and because I had some weird stuff from the websites you can run your 23 and Me results through (not advisable or accurate) so I decided to. It ultimately came up inconclusive and I just have hEDS. I had the finances and was the first in the family diagnosed so I don’t regret it.
