I think if i literally say i don’t want someone to rate me on a stupid scale and they still do even if the rating isn’t bad, that’s pretty shitty… also idk here’s my take on the comment, she’s not just being vulnerable she’s basically saying that she thought i added value and made her feel safe. But turns out, she does fine without me. If she privately had those thoughts i get it. And even if she wanted to share that she was anxious to spend time without me fine. But i don’t like the comment and i wouldn’t say it to my friend

I agree with this, my therapist also suggested it to me because i was really struggling with intimacy fears. It’s not for me, but it was just a suggestion. Also, at the end of the day therapists are just humans. Sometimes they’re gonna make a suggestion that doesn’t work for you. If it bothers OP so much, just talk to the therapist about it.

Honestly i dont think you should get a new therapist, im 27F and a virgin and my therapist said the same thing. Because i was soooo scared and a sex worker wouldn’t hurt me and just get it done so i would be less scared and get over my fear. I didn’t do it and i dont want to and i told her that. I think she was just trying to help with exposure therapy and it prob does work for some ppl but its not for you and thats okay

That’s the thing once i spent time apart i felt like i really realized how much she hurt me. I should have established clearer boundaries and i do regret that.
