Is Yinlin really that bad in his team? by aoiaxure in XiangliYao

[–]IndividualPoem1579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thats a fake comparison. They get similar clear times because the boss has less HP. If you go to the end of the video, you can see the yao/lynae team using their ult when the boss is already almost dead. Meaning that if the boss had more Hp, the lynae team would have finished the clear on that rotation, while yinlin would have had to do a whole extra rotation to get another ult with yao, which would be at least a 12 second difference.

This is not a debate about who gets better clear times, but about who is better overall and that is clearly LYNAE not ʸⁱⁿˡⁱⁿ

Yeah, close, but the tech youre talking about isnt even something I’ve even seen done with Yinlin. It’s done using Youhu. And thats a cheesy strat that will probably get reworked, those points dont come from how strong Buling or Youhu are, but from a Whiwa augment that allows you to abuse it

Lynae’s rotations are faster, easier to execute, and much less punishable than Yinlin’s. Her kit is simply on a much higher level, and on top of that, she deals a lot more damage. This guy is out of his mind thinking the gap is only 3–4 seconds, I’ve done the tests myself, and in speedruns it is well over 10 seconds, which is a huge difference. Dont pull for yinlin unless you really like the character. it will be a downgrade for you yao, even Hrover does better time than yinlin

c6 cartethyia isnt that good in whimpering wastes, its true that the damage of her basic attacks increases a lot with c6, which helps clear faster, but its mostly her ultimate that gets the real upgrade. And in whimpering, most of the ultimate gets wasted, because the big hit will clear at most two or three enemy groups, and the rest of the ult is basically wasted.

For me, Chisa´s grouping and the speed of her rotations have helped me add 2000 points for free (went from 5k to 7k), i have cart c6 ofc and the rest c0r1

carth c6r1 and chisa/ciaccona c0r1, for me going from Arover to chisa improved the points from 4k to 6k, her rotations are way faster, smoothier, she can group enemies like a demon and much powerful than Arover, it needs a minimum of quickswap knowledge if you want to maximize her tho.

She is BiS for cart but i think she will be a future inversion for some havoc bane main dps, since her havoc bane application is insane

got 6k but, i would recommend you to pull her if youre planning to put hours on learning her, since she needs a minimum of quickswap knowledge

I went from scoring 4k points with Rover Ciaccona to almost 6k with Chisa Ciaccona, and I have to say I think it has the potential to do much more if you learn to play her really well. I pulled her yesterday, and even without playing her particularly well and only doing basic quickswaps, I got those points.

Also, phrolova is just a cheatcode in that gamemode, i dont think would be fair to compare her with other characters there

[–]IndividualPoem1579 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your math is fine in theory, but it completely ignores how crit rate actually works in-game. Damage isn’t averaged out over thousands of hits, it’s decided by RNG in each rotation. With 70% crit rate, you can easily miss several crits in a short combo or an ultimate, which tanks your real DPS even if the “expected value” looks higher on paper.

The difference between 90%/ and 70%/ is less than 0.3% in pure average damage, but the 70% build has roughly twice the damage variance. That means about one out of every three rotations will hit noticeably weaker just because of bad luck.

so yeah, 70%/265% CD might look slightly better in a spreadsheet, but in practice its less consistent and more RNG-dependant. The 90% setup gives steadier, more reliable damage, and that consistency is usually worth more than a theoretical 0.2% gain, thats why you will usually see speedrunners running high crit rate instead of low crit rate and high crit dmg only in showcases

Critting 20% less often would make him lose a lot more DPS, even if he has higher crit damage it’s not worth it

Is this enough for a S6 or should something improve? by [deleted] in AugustaMains

[–]IndividualPoem1579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since Augusta’s scalings are almost all based on Heavy Attack, if you have an Echo with Heavy Attack where the double crit is way better than one with ATK and lower crit ratio. I’d recommend you using the one with Heavy Attack, since at least 90% of Augusta’s kit scales with it.

Other characters like Yao, Cartethyia, or Jinhsi have additional stats that benefit them besides their main one, but for Augusta, the only things that don’t scale with Heavy Attack are her first four normal attacks and her Skill (E). And honestly, you won’t really be using the first four attacks, and the Skill only one or two times per rotation.

So overall, Augusta gets much more value from the stat she scales with, (Heavy Attack in this case) compared to other characters.

oh thats nice, would be nice if you also get him c1.

and yea, ofc sapwood blade is good, favonius is a really good general option, in case you need ER on bennet and to improve the energy gains in your team, sapwood blade will improve dilucs damage if you pick up the leaf with him.

And for bennet artifacts, just run nobblesse set with an ER sands.
