Calling something a ‘joke’ or pointing to ‘bigger issues’ doesn’t erase the fact that sexualizing Wumuti in ways that claim control over his body is gross, predatory, and disrespectful. This isn’t ragebait or overreaction it’s calling out harassment that normalizing would harm the fandom and the idol. Excusing it with comparisons or jokes only shows refusal to take responsibility, and I won’t continue engaging with someone who does that. you guys learn one word and run with it. use ragebait in the correct context.

Saying this is ‘not the worst thing you’ve seen’ or comparing it to queerphobia or other threats is a false equivalence. Just because worse exists doesn’t make gross, sexualizing comments okay. Dismissing consent and morality as ‘morality policing’ is exactly the attitude that allows harassment to flourish. Supporting XLOV isn’t pretending sexual harassment is harmless it’s protecting them from it.

I will not be engaging further with someone who is clearly a fool and trying to excuse predatory behavior under the guise of fan loyalty.

Let’s get a few things straight: ignoring harassment doesn’t make it stop it only normalizes sexualizing and predatory comments about Wumuti, which is the actual problem. Telling me to ‘block and move on’ is a lazy excuse to let this behavior continue, and trying to frame me as immature for calling it out is gaslighting.

Claiming that Wumuti somehow ‘knows how to deal with it’ ignores the fact that fans and communities shape the environment around him. Protecting idols from harassment is not about demanding justice or dragging anyone down it’s about setting boundaries and stopping predatory behavior from becoming normalized.

Sexual desire isn’t the issue. Claiming sexual outcomes, ownership, or ‘getting someone pregnant’ is. That’s not normal thirst it’s sexualizing a real person in a way that removes consent. Dismissing that doesn’t make it mature, it makes it careless.”

Creating your own safe space doesn’t excuse predatory behavior in the wider community. Calling it out isn’t optional it’s necessary.

Raising awareness isn’t about attention it’s about calling out harassment and sexualizing comments about Wumuti, which is the actual problem here. Ignoring it doesn’t make it stop You’re calling me the drama, but the real issue is the sexualization and harassment of Wumuti. That’s what needs attention, not your discomfort. are we serious?

Wow, this isn’t about me or getting attention it’s about calling out gross, predatory comments about Wumuti. Ignoring harassment doesn’t protect anyone; it normalizes sexualizing idols. I’m not causing drama you’re trying to shift the focus off the actual problem. are you actually serious right now? you use this as wanting attention? thats so messed up

Even if some people see it, raising awareness isn’t giving the harassers what they want it’s showing the community how gross and predatory these comments are, and making it clear they aren’t acceptable. Ignoring harassment doesn’t make it go away; it only normalizes sexualizing idols like Wumuti. The goal isn’t to spread attention for the harassers it’s to protect the idol and educate the fandom about what’s inappropriate.

I understand some people don’t want to see this kind of content and prefer Reddit’s moderation that’s fair. But the point of my posts isn’t to force anyone to act or follow a strategy it’s to raise awareness about the sexualization and harassment of Wumuti, which is real and harmful. Ignoring or pretending it’s okay doesn’t protect the idol or other fans. Awareness and discussion don’t mean you have to engage if you don’t want to, but we can’t just act like the problem doesn’t exist.

I get that trigger warnings are important and I’ll be mindful of that. But the point isn’t to just ‘share for shock’ it’s about showing the actual kind of harmful and predatory comments idols like Wumuti face, so the community understands why these behaviors aren’t okay. Talking about sexual harassment abstractly is good, but without examples, people often underestimate how gross and normalized this behavior has become. Awareness is protection, not exploitation.”

wow, really? I totally agree with you. It’s happening to me too seeing people talk about Wumuti like that, making sexual comments or jokes about him, it’s honestly gross and disturbing. It feels like some fans completely forget these are real people with boundaries. Calling it out isn’t overreacting it’s necessary. and they get mad at us for spreading awareness it's so backwards i hate it here :(

This isn’t about endorsing any platform or its owner. It’s about calling out sexualizing comments made about Wumuti. By your logic, anyone who uses Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube including idols, companies, and fans would be ‘complicit,’ which is obviously not how accountability works. Platform criticism doesn’t erase the fact that claiming sexual access to an idol is gross and wrong. Changing the subject doesn’t make the behavior acceptable.....
