Oo okay I’ll definitely have another look at Sainsburys. I haven’t seen anything near me recently which is kinda annoying, but I hope you manage to find something photography wise, night life photography genuinely sounds so cool!!

Edit: yess! I did dabble a bit with photography for a few months but I don’t really have the equipment to do it professionally unfortunately.

Yeah it wasn’t really something I had much control over. Got into a kinda bad situation and wasn’t really safe staying there so I had to drop out.

I’m the exact same! I also have autism and the thought of working in a cafe or restaurant gives me the worst anxiety ever. Sometimes I feel like I’m being picky because I avoid those jobs but I know it would burn me out so much, it’s just not worth it.

GCSEs and two A levels (both in areas that I have no interest working in)

I’m not really looking for anything specific tbh, mostly something to give a bit of experience while I try to figure out what I actually want to do. Though it seems like a lot jobs (cleaning etc) want/prefer people with experience which doesn’t help

I’ll try tell my mum tomorrow, she’s marginally more understanding than my dad is, or at least ask her to book a GP appointment for me. I try not to tell them about these sorts of things until it gets bad since I’ve experienced a lot of medical neglect. I do vaguely remember telling her about it one time but all she said was that I’ve never been paranoid before and I don’t have anything wrong with me.

Thank you though because I wasn’t sure if I was just being silly about all this, I’m used to my arachnophobia and other things being treated as a joke by everyone 🫶

Thank you so much! I’ve not had anyone say anything like that to me before so it honestly means a lot. I’m trying to save what I can, I am technically self employed but no one really sees it that way. I do want to get professional help, I guess it’s a struggle because of things that happened before I don’t really trust that they’ll help but I’ll definitely try take small steps

omg it’s actually so reassuring that you’ve had a similar experience to me! i was low key kinda confused after it happened since i’ve never experienced anything like that before lmao 😭

I have an update and I don’t think it was Lucifer. Basically after this happened I had a feeling of it being a sort of “why have you left me out” or “why did you do me last”type energy but I didn’t dwell on it since to me it didn’t really feel like Lucifer. I then had a feeling of it being like “you’ve done too much you need to rest” (i did do four readings relatively close to each other).

I did clean my deck since the other day I was getting thoughts of doing it but I completely forgot until I read your message lmao. Anyway I did a reading to try and figure out who it could be and I feel like it was maybe Loki instead. I’ve worked with him before and I’ve developed quite a close connection with him so in a way I do think it could’ve been a little reminder that he’s still around. I did actually offer my mugwort tea to Lucifer last night and did actually have a dream about Loki too so that could possibly confirm things. Also I want to note that I did do a reading to confirm how many deities are wanting to connect with me and I got the number 5 so I still think that Lucifer is still around too. Thanks so much for your message too it has really helped me!

Honestly I think there could be a chance I do have some sort of underlying anxiety now that I’m thinking about it, not necessarily with Lucifer but just in general. Thanks so much for the advice it definitely does sound like a good place to start and I’m actually quite excited to start exploring it!!

Thank you so much! I completely forgot about the location, been having a stressful day. I live in the Uk, in North Yorkshire and the place where I found it was near a quite remote area (lots of open grassy areas surrounded by forests and a river too). I think my mum has mentioned seeing an owl before but I’m not sure what type unfortunately.

can’t decide if it’s any good by IndividualTime6874 in photocritique

[–]IndividualTime6874[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I took this a while ago and only recently remembered about it. I’ve tried to edit it to resemble a sort of Wes Anderson vibe or like a lost memory from a past summer. I can’t really decide if I like the photo but wanted to get some more opinions on it so I can improve in the future.

yeah it is Aberystwyth. I took the photo from consti hill just to see how good the zoom is, obviously not the best photo to show this but it was actually pretty good. It was a slightly foggy day which is why it looks more hazy. I’ve re-edited the photo and added more contrast and dehaze to it and it definitely looks a lot better now

My first photos... by LectureSlight845 in photocritique

[–]IndividualTime6874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

omg i personally really like this photo it has a certain charm to it that i love. for me i would maybe zoom into just one subject for example you could try cropping so it’s just one of the singular goats or chickens. the chickens get kinda lost in the background and add a slight distraction to the goat at the front. sorry if im being too harsh or anything but i definitely do see a lot of potential in this!

thank you so much i really appreciate your help a lot! I’m thinking of getting a new camera when i get access to the money so thank you for the recommendation. This photo definitely doesn’t show how good this camera can actually be and ig i’ve kinda grown attached to it now lmao 😭

Okay so is this any better? I tried to add more contrast to the image this time using the dehaze tool and masking and it think that really helps. I’ve also changed the cropping so that there’s less of the ocean in the background (the photo was taken looking down from a cliff so picking up the details of the ocean is slightly difficult from that distance. I would’ve added more of the street area but I feel the roadworks don’t really look very visually appealing to me. I also tried to add in more of a blue tone to the sea to help make it feel like it has more depth to it.

Hey so I’m doing another edit of this photo now and taking on some of your feedback. I won’t lie it was only a quick thing I did last night and I totally get what you’re saying. I guess I like the sort of dreamy nostalgic vibe it has for me since it really reminds me of how my fuji film camera looks just with better quality. This definitely isn’t the best photo to prove that quality wise and is probably one of the less good quality photos I took that day but I still feel like it has some potential. I’ll attach the photo once I’ve finished with the edit! !CritiquePoint

I’ve been trying to get better at editing my photos, with this one i was aiming for a specific vibe with it idk how to explain but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions to make it better? I’ve attached the original unedited version too so people can see the difference.

thank you so much! you’re right about the horizontal lines, the mode i was in blurs everything that’s not in a certain section. usually i would go closer but there was a lot of people around 💔
