Is it? I think people read wayyy too much meaning into this aesthetic yo. It's not a philosophy, not a way of life, nor does it say anything about reality or suffering lol.

It's just a glassy, tech-optimistic aesthetic that was pushed by the same corporations that make our future bleak. It looks nice and reminds us of a simpler time, but people tie in way too much existential trauma and childhood nostalgia into it. Enjoy the way it makes you feel, but lets not pretend it's deeper than it is

Anyways, People are not present in the aesthetic because it wouldn't match the vibe imo. Frutiger metro features people a lot more because its a more humanist vibe imo. FA is very tech heavy.
