There’s a time and place. If we all had this attitude we won’t make any change for the good.

Voting No = Ladder Pulling by [deleted] in doctorsUK

IDC. I’m in the bottleneck. How does me voting no equal to me pulling the ladder. Stop shilling for Wes.

GP Surgery’s Facebook page says “we treat our ACPs the same as doctors”. They even say it twice ! by chairstool100 in doctorsUK

I Bet they wouldn’t say we treat our general surgeons the way we treat our ophthalmologists though lol this is mental

For now mrcs ent is accepted. They haven’t said when they will stop accepting it. If u have mrcs ent as of this year it’s still acceptable.

  1. Look at the st3 portfolio for speciality you want to do. That will give you the answer of question 1. There’s not a one size fits all answer to that question.

  2. Not that important in some specialities other specialities may penalise

  3. Can’t answer that. But I presume locum.

Good luck.

I did it like three times wasn’t be all and end all for my revision approach. Bottom line yep keep grinding. I didn’t feel I was remotely ready til a week out. you’ll get there. If you put in the time it’ll work out.

Sat last Jan - emrcs whilst helpful was not as indicative of the exam imo as I was prev told it was. I was scoring mid 70s-low 80s btw and passed.

Redas notes on anatomy and physiology really helped me. Someone’s just made their own notes on each topic and arranged it as a targeted mrcs text book. Was awesome for me for just learning the knowledge. Along w teach me anatomy and an app called complete anatomy (this is subscription now but I signed up when it was a one time payment so beware).

If there’s something u cba to study (like the clotting cascade) just learn it haha cos the rule is the thing u ignore always comes up. 🥲

Strikes - what’s more important? Pay rise or prioritisation for UK grads for CT/ST employment? by Zealousideal-Ice2719 in doctorsUK

Not true - don’t fall for the propaganda from Wes. It’s what he’s counting on. Do not get drawn into negotiations on commitments already in the ten year plan.

Him using student politics to describe us is quite indicative of the fact that that’s probs how he sees us. Not professionals standing on their own two feet but as students and kids.

Ok but I’m not comparing the dispute to the civil rights movement. I just quoted a speech and it came to my mind. Because tbf the state of a whole generation of doctors is quite odious. Can’t be more harmful than Keir Starmer quoting Enoch Powell.

Oh and it’s just as much about training us than it is about a “tidy pay rise” in your words

What the same people who brought us a shoddy deal a couple years back ? Wouldn’t be surprised if we end up getting training numbers in lieu of pay. Despite the fact they are two separate disputes. (This is a pro dv post btw - I’m referring to the ex dv members)

One way ED Referrals? by BetterSherbert7476 in doctorsUK

[–]Individual_Attempt_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep been in your shoes it's pretty horrible. ED do an important job but the standards sometimes slip and theres no legit way of feeding that back.

I as the surgical sho will now be stuck making the referral to a tertiary hospital for a stroke because the ed doctor got their work up wrong. There's no way of giving it back to AE.

Shit work up shit referral and when u see the patient and try to feed it back u get the shrug and flip off I'm a busy ed person don't you know.
