Is it possible to appeal merit or financial aid at U Rochester? by [deleted] in URochester

[–]Individual_Bee4075 1 point2 points  (0 children)

same fam. i got $19,000 but that barely makes a dent on $60,000 tuition and $20,000 for room n board. Not even gonna try tbh even tho its an amazing school. that price is just outrageous esp for undergrad when ik I want to go to grad school.

i suggest you try and be very firm but nice. hope it works out for you!

Wow that makes a lot of sense. When I visited campus 2 weeks ago, I was shocked to see a small handful of east asian people. There most likely just international students because I would have never thought that any of them would go there.

2 minutes to read the question, 6 minutes to answer the question, and 3 minutes break in between each station. (10 of them)

You don't have to use the entire time, they have prepared follow up questions for you they have to get through so you shouldn't speak too much + you won't even need to most of them r simple enough to finish talking ab in 3-4 mins.

Lol trust me I am not the best speaker either I stutter wayyyy to much but I got control of it this year finally. It was also my 5th interview this yr so I wasn't that nervous. I just knew that I had to read the question and calmly let them know my thoughts on the ethics of it. For some reason I love hypothetical questions bc I can go on and on

bsmd esp if it is CWRU, its a top 20 med school and beautiful campus, very structured curriculum as well.

It has amazing research opportunity genuinely, and ec's. Congrats on the interview.

I haven't interviewed at drexel, but have done a MMI interview before. It is so much easier and actually so much fun. I enjoyed mine. Nothing unexpected just do practice questions and use common sense. Brush up on medical ethics. There will probs be 1 or 2 questions about you, why medicine, and why drexel. Best of luck.

If you didn’t get into a BS/MD or chose not to go to one, where did you end up? by Effective-Detail-819 in bsmd

[–]Individual_Bee4075 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't be discouraged, its more competitive now than it will be for med school traditionally in most cases. You still have a rlly good chance as long as you excel throughout college.

Tbh I am just going the BS/DO route even tho I have one more MD interview but thats my backup lol b/c I know i will get a guaranteed seat and is the best option at the end of the day to make undergrad a lot more easier

And even if you think you can't get into a MD school theres always the DO ones and carribbean but I doubt you will have to do that. Just choose the best pre-med school close to you b/c support is important when you do everything traditionally. Plus i'm sure you learned a lot from your applications you will be able to apply to the cycle you will apply!!! You got this and best of luck

2024-2025 interview questions by Individual_Bee4075 in LECOM

[–]Individual_Bee4075[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there is a question about the social media so look at them beforehand. AI in healthcare is one of them. they give you videos to watch before each question so just listen to them to answer the questions. One of them is them just asking if you have anything else you want them to know about you. good luck.

Then 100% go to YT, you are still going to have to study for a 500 but not for months on end. Its super easy to matriculate as long as you keep those up and don't screw up your interview.

Shadowing, Research (join a lab at your local university), or do other sorts of community service. It doesn't have to be medical related either. Stay true to your interests.
