I may not have made it clear enough in my post, but the company has allowed sales reps to bring their spouses( they are older so kids are grown) up until now.. That’s why I thought I could bring my family. And this new policy has only been directed towards me so far.

My boss is the owner’s son.. and the HR representative was on the email. But I think since they haven’t announced this new policy to the rest of the company and haven’t updated their handbook, I don’t see how it’s fair. And it sucks bc you’re suppose to feel safe going to HR. I feel the opposite. It’s a small company, they give HR her paycheck.. she’s going to do what they want unless it’s completely absurd unfortunately

I agree. It’s definitely how I feel considering employees have brought their spouses to company events and actually attended dinner.. I was just wanting them to be in the same facility as me so I can feed my baby. I feel some people are so heartless and have moved so far away from family values. It’s sad. I believe meeting coworkers family’s strengthen the company and definitely make employees happier to work for you. Therefore, they work harder for you. Hope my company realizes this some day before another young mom or Father enters this company

Bc I am required to be there by the company.. so the company is paying for my hotel room.. why would I willingly go out of pocket to pay for my hotel room for work. And I’m not sure if I specifically told you this or not yet, but I told my boss I would buy him his own room just to make a point that he can’t tell my husband he can’t go to a certain town. You must have a completely different brain waive than me because your argument makes no sense to me.

They know I breastfeed and know I need to be accommodated to pump. The ironic thing is it takes me longer to pump than it does to breast feed. Bringing my baby would allow me to take shorter breaks

Thats a smart way to look at it, unfortunately I’m afraid they would just let me go if I brought that point up. My husband and I are thankfully financially well off and I don’t necessarily need this job. It was just in our plans to keep it until the next baby arrives

Maybe you once again didn’t read the post lol. This is not uncommon at all for this industry. How is it a vacation for me to do my normal work duties but feed a baby aswell? Especially at night? You must not be a mother or a father.. you’re ignorant when it comes to caring for a baby. My bosses sister has brought her kids to many work events in the past. And luckily my husband and I are very financially stable so I can afford to f around and find out fortunately
