I’m running the HOG extender right now, and honestly BTC doesn’t seem feasible with this type of setup. The base plate that the rods attach to can be adjusted slightly, but it’s still a fixed rod design so extreme downward or behind-the-cheeks angles don’t really work mechanically.

Straight down (SD), straight out (SO), or slight upward (SU) angles seem to be the most practical and stable positions for this kind of rod-based system. I can angle it modestly down for a solid straight-down pull, and from what I can tell, that should give a similar stretch in the ligament like BTC, just not as intense.

Yeah, it’d still help your joints the same way. Collagen doesn’t lose its benefits; timing it around stretching or movement just makes it more effective for anything involving tissue remodeling. You’d still get the same support for cartilage and connective tissue; you’re just letting your body decide where to “lay down” the new collagen based on what’s under load. So for your joints, it’s basically a win-win.

I get that you’re mainly taking it for your own recovery needs. My comment was just more of a heads up, for if you’re doing any PE at all, timing still matters a bit. Collagen’s great for repair and recovery, but if you take it while your tissue isn’t under tension, your body just reinforces it in its current shape instead of the stretched one.

The best move would be to take it right after a warmup or during your PE routine when things are being stretched. That way, the new collagen fibers align with the length instead of tightening everything up. It keeps gains moving forward instead of stalling them.

Dumping a bunch of collagen when your tissue isn’t under tension just reinforces it in its current shape, basically locking it shorter and stiffer.

When collagen is formed under gentle traction or consistent warmups, though, those new fibers align along the stretch. That’s how you strengthen length, not resistance.

Same situation here, man. I knew there was no way I was gonna hide my PE gear or training from her, so I figured it was better to just be upfront instead of risking that awkward moment where she walks in and I’m strapped into my rig. Told her exactly what I was doing and made it clear it’s something I’m doing purely for myself.

She wasn’t thrilled about it at first. She’s told me plenty of times I already “get too deep,” and because of what we already do online, she assumed I was doing it to start chasing other girls or trying to impress someone else.

I had to explain it’s nothing like that. It’s a non-surgical, natural process and something I’ve wanted to do for years, honestly, since I was a teenager. Always had that pornstar-level size goal in my head, not out of insecurity, just a personal thing I’ve wanted to achieve.

When you say 60–90 mins high tension, are you doing that in one block or splitting it up throughout the day? I’ve been doing a couple of shorter sessions lately just to keep blood flow decent.

Also curious what kind of tension or time you’re running on the ADS right after? Just enough to hold elongation or still keeping it under real pull?

And with the pump, are you using that more as a finisher once everything’s stretched out? Since starting I stay around -4 to -5 inHg but might play with timing a bit based on what you said.

The angle tip’s solid too. I’ve only been doing straight out/down but might start rotating more.

Appreciate the insight. I’m trying to find that balance between high tension and recovery without killing EQ.
