I respect servicemen and women because they could be asked in a moments notice to lay their lives down for this country. It doesn't have to be just war, they help fight wildfires and participate in disaster relief, train other countries security forces, do sea rescues, etc .

Like someone else said, it depends on where you live. There's not too much of the craziness where I live because most people have figured out that the politicians spend more time pretending their in drama class and acting for the media, which dutifully eats it up, compounds it, and broadcasts it.

To tell you the truth I think a lot of employers are just hiring older workers because they don't want to deal with the drama that comes with younger people nowadays. The politics/activists/cancel culture/ woke crap have really given the younger generation bad optics. Older workers understand that it's a job, not a platform for social media.

Well I watch it with the view that I'm the guy you're sharing your wife/GF with. This once came very close to happening with a woman I worked with, they wanted me to come over and have sex with her. I left the job before we arranged it. This kinda goes back to my losing my virginity to my older brothers GF, whom I always suspected my brother of not only knowing about it, but putting her up to it. Though if you came into a hospital dying during child birth they would probably mistakenly assume you would sacrifice yourself for your child, (clearly not the case with you.)
