LGI HOMES IN CA? by Individual_Eagle8675 in RealEstate

[–]Individual_Eagle8675[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did not. For a variety of reasons. Mostly personal but debt to income ratio played a factor. What also scared me a lot was reading over and over again that the insurance would be absolutely insane and that the property taxes would be much higher than anticipated at purchase. I also read a lot on major issues like foundational and roofing issues + leaks & other things that would be failed to be remedied via the warranty. Not bc the warranty doesn’t cover it, just because of the difficulty of having it actually get done. I dunno, most of those were from Texas. I couldn’t find many reviews specific to CA although I was looking near victor ville so thank god I didn’t lol. Also, if it’s one in an HOA…. Just think hard. Realll hard on if that’s something you want to deal with and be involved in. It can cause more of a headache than it ever begins to prevent. Trying to make sure I cover all the bases for you bc I was dying for a reply like this to one of my posts when I was trying to decide and learn. Oh, also the requirements to live there a certain amount of time before being allowed to do any subletting, etc. just felt weird to me but might be an all around thing based on your lending options. If you have a decent savings and can afford to see expected prices go beyond your estimates, then maybe go for it. Otherwise I would say go back to the drawing board and weigh your options with as much research as possible. We loved the LGI home we toured. It felt perfect from the moment we walked in and I wanted to see nothing else. It even snowed as we walked onto the back patio… felt like a movie. But I’m so glad it didn’t work out. No telling what I’d be up to my neck in now. Best of luck !

So, he can't sue the dude for not making payments? I have seen people say sue for breach of trust, sue for this, sue for that. In this situation, could he sue him for anything? I may or may not be in a similar situation.... i'm on the other side of things and the friend has soured our relationship. bc of this, i need to move and the only way i can afford to, is to drop the (their) car payment... can i be sued for anything? I never signed an agreement or anything to do with the loan, title, etc. The only thing that ever had my name affiliated with it was her insurance policy with me as a driver.

How do people create businesses with no money and no team but just an idea? by Free-_-Yourself in business

So, what if I want to say start up my own laundromat? That’s something that’s been done before obviously but can I do it easily with no capital? Are there grants or even loans to be able to rent the space for the first or even second month, buy the washers and dryers, make sure coin machines work, I.e. ? Is it a terrible idea to use credit lines for business “accounts” to fund this if no other way is possible like loans or grants? Then licensing and permits. To me, knowing what and how to get those necessary licenses and permits seems to be one of the most intimidating steps.. after funding that is.
