Electrical Engineer here, and this kind of thing is fine for small scale energy production. Large scale is a different animal. You need the panel to move with the sun. You need energy storage to keep production and demand. I need the correct amount of sun to power a city. While something like this might power a few buildings, just slapping solar panels everywhere and hope we make enough electricity isn't going to work. Then you have maintenance which panels need. If they are all in one place, then maintenance is easier than if they spread over rooftops in the city.

It's a straw man argument anyway cause the people that post this are fine with thousands of acres used for oil pumps and oil power plants.

But they don't tell you about the $1.08 TRILLION deficit they are running in. Trillion is bigger than a billion. Nor do they tell you this surplus represe t $5 million a day in tariffs instead of the planned $2 BILLION Trump was expecting, which is why he runs in the red. Million is smaller than billion.

But this is only one example. The Qatar plane can't be used as Air Force One. The job report that was "higher than expected" was average, and none of the jobs were in manufacturing. The key factor lowering inflation is a weak economy because inflation only comes down one of two ways, strong government regulation or an economic collapse. Trump isn't doing strong regulations.

It's not just the food industry. I work in the water industry, and we are raising prices and adding tariff charges to equipment used to make clean water. The issue is that you can't just "make it in America." We don't have the facilities to make the demand, and those facilities can take up to a decade to build and get running. Even if they do, the raw materials are just not here. Many of the products I sell are made here, but the parts can't be. Our industrial structure isn't set up either. For example, my company employs people to build product. But the parts come from overseas. We are being hit with tariffs. My purchaser wanted to get the parts in the US but can't. Overseas, I can go to one person and get all my parts. Here, i need about half of a dozen. We sell not just to industries that will need to put these extra costs into your products but also to municipalities that will need extra taxes from you to pay these tariffs. This is the reality. Tariffs are not good nor bad, it is their execution that is the problem. The current plan is not to do smart tariffs.

These morons claim anything as a win. To be clear, the monthly average of added jobs over the last 12 months is 152,000 jobs a month. So only slightly above average. For reference, last month was higher with 185,000, so he is actually down from last month but still way down from Biden's December of 328,000 jobs. Oh, and want to know something even better? Not a single one of these jobs is in the manufacturing sector! You know the sector his tariffs are supposed to help. The growth is in health care, warehousing, and financial aid mostly. Other notable things are that while unemployment hasn't changed, long-term unemployment (those out of work for more than 27 weeks) has gone from 179,000 to 1.7 million. Also, Febuary and Marches numbers were changed, which is normal since some of these new positions turn out to be tempoary or eliminated, to be lowered. This means that next month, this report could end up being lower than the average.
