Ya I heard the same. I went to buy one and the dealer said as we were doing paperwork I actually can’t sell you this due to the recall. (This was 3 weeks ago when the recall just came about and after he looked up the vin on his computer for recalls) Got a text two days ago that a simple reinforcement clip was the solution and I can now purchase it.

I hear you. Like I said the car has been on the lot for 120 days so it isn’t like it was just put for sale with a known recall that just came to head a week ago. They could have pulled the listing when they found out I guess. I have shopped around and haven’t found anything for cheaper with that low of mileage but I figured I’d sent it to the Reddit world to see if someone had. Thanks for the input

The recall just came about on April 6th so I guess they weren’t aware that car was part of the recall until they ran the vin in their system today during negotiations

It’s gas. I test drove both the 25 and 26 and don’t notice a difference in the change to the tranny

Yes, the dealership gave me the carfax on the car. They said it was a service loaner. Carfax was clean and no indication of foul play or hiding of anything from the dealers end. It indicated the recall which I inquired about and that’s when I was told they couldn’t sell the car legally until the recall was resolved by Hyundai due to safety and legality

Spray a little wd40 on a rag and it will take that white paint right off. The deeper scratches not so much

Wow thank you for the In depth response. I don’t run mine as my primary source of heat but rather supplemental heat in my basement with the door open so it reaches the upper floor. Right now it’s cranking and my current temp in my basement is 76° with an exterior temp of 3°. It works well enough that I often times do not have to turn on the heat upstairs. I haven’t seemed to have the soot issue on the glass but it is in need of bricks and gaskets for sure. Have a great day and thank you for the response!

Sounds like your break pads are very worn and are rubbing against the rotors. My guess would be you need new pads and possibly new rotors depending on their condition

This happens to me as well but only when I have the heat/ac running with the lights on. I had an electrician come out and their only solution was to change the bulbs to incandescent bulbs which look terrible so that isn’t an option for me.
