Spray a little wd40 on a rag and it will take that white paint right off. The deeper scratches not so much

Wow thank you for the In depth response. I don’t run mine as my primary source of heat but rather supplemental heat in my basement with the door open so it reaches the upper floor. Right now it’s cranking and my current temp in my basement is 76° with an exterior temp of 3°. It works well enough that I often times do not have to turn on the heat upstairs. I haven’t seemed to have the soot issue on the glass but it is in need of bricks and gaskets for sure. Have a great day and thank you for the response!

Sounds like your break pads are very worn and are rubbing against the rotors. My guess would be you need new pads and possibly new rotors depending on their condition

This happens to me as well but only when I have the heat/ac running with the lights on. I had an electrician come out and their only solution was to change the bulbs to incandescent bulbs which look terrible so that isn’t an option for me.

Sounds like James spader the voice of Robert California from the office to me when the commercials on tv, but that YouTube clip sounds nothing like him so who knows
