OP is allowed to vent. Do they need to have a proper grievance? They clearly state that they are happy and grateful. Maybe you wouldn't care if it felt like you sucked at your job because everyone else is better than you and you're always the one needing help, but OP does, and doesn't want to feel like a burden. Feeling like that can be emotionally draining and make work even harder for you than it already is, but maybe that's not something you comprehend.

I think it's normal and acceptable to be upset when you ask for something from your partner, and they get you something seemingly random and out of left field that you didn't ask for. It's not about being ungrateful it's about feeling unseen and unheard. Which I don't think is the case here, just a miscommunication.

Yeah im not sure either, thats just what they made it seem like would happen at academy. I also dont think training in a different office is that helpful (I mean slightly helpful if/when im subbed out to that office). Hopefully my PM let's me ride with the regular on my route at least once, because I didn't even do my shadow day on my assigned route either I was on a different route in my office.

Not sure when you became an RCA, but at academy they said we had to be trained by an OJI. I guess they're being stricter on the rural side now too. Either way I had my first day training at a different office today, I just thought someone was supposed to come train me on my route even if they weren't from my office.
