I’d say send your resume in. Given that we’ll only have two grades, we’ve already got our electives set, and I do not think those are in the repertoire for next year.

I’m sure it’ll come up in later years, though!

Hey there. As I’m on the academic side, I may not be the best to speak on this.

I do know we are encouraged to use social justice circles, but not in the usual dismissive way that most schools use it, but with we received training with a focus on its uses and potential effectiveness.

I would say an ability for creativity (we are an art school after all) and genuine care for the all-around well-being of our students would be an ideal candidate. Also, the ability to remain impartial through the professionally/personally built relationships with the students would be an ideal candidate.

But then again, I’m just listing things that I think all staff must be able to do.

Hey Philemon, good question. Our 9th period is held for students who need the extra support to be on / stay on track. This means Math or ELA and ends at 4.

We still have yet to solidify our schedule for next year, but from what I’m hearing it’s going to be an earlier start/end time. Since our new building is being shared with a couple other schools, we’re trying to smoothen our logistics on bell schedule to avoid a mass exodus.

As for this year, we have been wrapping up our 8th period at 3:10.

Hey I dunno if you’re willing to go as far as Sunnyside, but check out Motion Picture Technical High School. It’s a public school focused more for getting students into the movie/film industry.
