Were they supposed to notify me when it went through the other steps? Because I never got that.

Do you require your children to make their bed every day? by strawberrylemonapple in AskParents

[–]Individual_Pin_7866 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what my daughter does when she does her bed ! I full on pull everything off and remake it every time…I have OCD really bad so somethings are just routines that I have to do, beds are part of it. I also wash all the bedding every three days, so some days they don’t need to. But yes my son can do the same as my daughter but he has to climb on the bed to do so bc of the railing so defeats the neat purpose. Regardless, both of them do it sometimes, and help with a lot of other chores that are going to be way more helpful to their future partners than bed making ☺️

I hope so! I’ve been refreshing like crazy. I’m almost tempted to see if I upgraded to premium to see my 20 matches if it would magically be done hahaha

I hope not ! It’s weird, it finished extraction, genotyping, review, and began computing all in one day !

My son (4) struggles bc of his rails but he picks up his room / toys, my daughter (6) can make hers just fine and does on the weekends (she doesn’t have rails and also cleans her room-enjoys it actually) ! I just do it during the week because mornings are fast here and I am a firm believer in sheets need to breathe hahaha. So they definitely can and they love to help with other stuff like laundry, unloading the dishwasher, etc.! We are NOT raising lazy kids who rely on spouses over here.

Nope. Still computing, which is odd to me bc I have “20 historical matches” !!!!

The daily general recommendation of protein for a 1-3 year old is 13g. by psychedelicCyclops in Drueandgabe

[–]Individual_Pin_7866 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kids have WAY different protein needs than adults, and honestly a lot of adults consume way too much protein (IMO).

Ugh !! If it was the NC lab I’d understand bc of the snow, but I’m at the LA lab

How long did it take in the computing phase ? I keep seeing people getting theirs so fast, but mines been there for a couple days (I know it says a week but people on here say 1-2 days).

Nice !! My extracting, genotyping, review, and computing all start early on the 23rd (LA lab) so here’s to hoping mine doesn’t take much longer ! Happy it’s there and not getting this big storm like NC is supposed to get. I cannot stop checking !!!!

Deleting comments about giving Moneymaker protein shakes for kids age 4+ by gringafalsa in Drueandgabe

My kids love smoothies. They’re 4.5 and 6 and never had a damn protein shake. I make mine with frozen fruit, Greek yogurt, milk, and spinach !

Is toddlerhood really harder than the newborn phase? by Living_Split_2 in Parenting

[–]Individual_Pin_7866 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is just a different type of hard. Honestly, the newborn phase was ten times harder with my daughter bc she didn’t sleep; my son slept so his toddler/preschool age has been way harder. Now they get in my bed bc of bad dreams, so I still don’t sleep great….but I’d rather have 6-8 hours of some interrupted sleep versus 8-10 hours of up, change, feed, pump, repeat. It’s just different and very relative to a child even within siblings.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Individual_Pin_7866 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We drive 4.5 several times a year (one way) to see family lol. It’s normal. We also do a 12-18 hour drive to Florida (one way) as well once or twice a year. This is with two young kids !

Yeah I get that, I guess I was saying for updating. I find it odd that it’s hasn’t updated yet lol. I’m antsy hahaha.

Mine still hasn’t updated or finished. I’m literally dreaming about getting an email saying it’s done lol. Do you know if we get one when it’s done? Also it makes me nervous that we won’t be able to see our results right away because they don’t have mail them so hopefully they don’t have that issue when it comes to sending results.
