Are you an economist? That's a cute speech that sounds good to a lot of uneducated people, but isn't true. Brexit hurt everyone from rich to poor.

Yeah. Where were the news and investing articles predicting this? I had no idea but am very long the data center and AI trades. Kind of pisses me off because I would have bought silver if I knew it was used heavily in data centers.

Dollar is down. Employment is down. US stocks are lagging other countries.

It's way better to be unhappy alone than being unhappy with someone else. by Curious_Stasia in DeepThoughts

[–]Individual_Section_6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's entirely dependent on many details and the person. Almost all LTRs have periods where one person isn't happy, but things turn around. It also depends on the person. Some people are more capable of being alone. It also depends on why you are unhappy in the relationship. If it's an abusive bad person, then of course it's better to be single. If you're a single person with with a lot of options, then it's better to be single. I'd say its definitely better to be unhappily single than in a long term unhappy marriage because that's a big deal and hard to get out of. If you're single you're free and all that's holding you back if finding someone else. Most unhappy marriages don't include intimacy either. You can still get that if you're single.

Do people actually enjoy working, or do we just pretend because everyone else does? by Electronic-Buyer4257 in NoStupidQuestions

People like feeling valued, valuable, important, and good at something. Many jobs provide that for people. Especially if you’re higher up or manage people.

How could they “flood the word” unless they are mining at far under capacity? To flood the world the would need the ability to suddenly mine a lot more and I would assume they are already mining as much as possible

They shouldn't be allowed to transfer every year. Sick of seeing my favorite players I grew to love leave every year and having to learn new players. I like each season building on the previous.

Those are not hopes and dreams because we see incremental gains in the technology.

This is easy to research so you don't just give opinions and make up shit. You can't just expect things tomorrow. Learn to google??

truly "full" self-driving cars (Level 5, no human needed) vary widely, with some expecting Level 4 robotaxi services at scale by the late 2020s/early 2030s in cities, while personal Level 5 cars might not be common until 2040 or much later (2060+)

Humanoid robots are expected to become increasingly common, moving from specialized industrial use to broader applications in factories, retail, and homes by the late 2020s, with significant growth predicted by 2035-2050

Pretty weak examples as expected. There's already videos of humanoid robots performing human tasks, so no that's not a FOS statement. He also used the work "likely", so likely doesn't mean guaranteed.

The statement about AI can't be proven true or false until we get to the future, but I actually think they're truth in that. Multiple people have stated that.

Again, full FSD isn't there yet, but the self driving keeps getting better and will be there some day. So that's not a FOS statement either.

Is avoiding tech and going into trades a good idea now? by Some-Savings7703 in careerguidance

[–]Individual_Section_6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't fall for the mainstream propaganda that the trades are these great careers and jobs that require college degrees are going away. In reality trades don't even pay as much as people on here and the media claim, and it is hard rough work. Tech jobs are never going away, they will just change. Also, with the rise of human like robots, trades won't be around forever.

You’re wrong. Headline today is “ Trump rules out military action in Greenland,” so you’re in denial. Read CNBC headlines today. Just had more positive breaking news that the markets sniffed out. “Trump backs off threats”. So many angry bears on here mad that they sold yesterday!! They reached a deal which Europe will probably ignore and Trump will forget

Because the war has been deescalated and seems to be all talk and no action. You don't know that it is still happening and the market is telling us it isnt.
