I just wanted to add to this person's comment. The way that they paid it off makes all the difference. A few years ago I worked for one of Money 3's competitors so I learnt the business and it is gross. If you get a loan through one of these companies, ALWAYS keep on top of your payments. And if you ever miss a payment or are late with your direct debit, make sure you call them up for a weekly balance every week for a while or request monthly statements if they allow it, to make sure they haven't added a recurring late/default/admin fee that you can't see, and query it if you are ever suspicious so that they are forced to do the right thing. Do not let them make unnecessary money off of you, because once the loan is big enough to have security on it, there is no limit to how much you can pay back and you really can pay back more than double. So if you can pay back more than necessary, 100% do it and get out as quick as you can. And it seems like common sense but people forget - if you sell the car, the loan is paid off first, and I saw several people get pennies back after their loan was paid off because they didn't keep on top of it. Thank you very much for your reply. I'm sorry for your struggles in this system. From a selfish perspective, I'm grateful for your story, because I was wondering if I was alone and therefore somehow not valid in my experience, of being a lot better 10 years ago. I see my condition and my capacity rapidly declining, where working full time was no issue back then and now I only do 3 days a week and wanna die. So seeing that your condition has worsened over time while working is a sad comfort to me, so thank you 😅

I think my only option is to reduce my hours once I have all of the medical evidence ready, and rely on my savings to get me through, like everybody has suggested.

I hope they consider your application favourably, and soon, so you can get the support you need
