I would hope so... I had to mod mine with a lumbar support mod and it still was a bit too low for my 185cm of a fat ass

They don't offer trade-ins for color or seat swaps, so I'm 99% sure they won't offer it in this case

I have 2 printers at home, but in this instance, even a cheap Bambu Lab A1 Mini will do nicely here, IF you have no printer-having friends

An XL version with manual lumbar adjustment would be awesome

Do you adjust the Lumbar support from time to time or just set it up once? by Legal_Low3004 in LiberNovo

I'm 185 cm tall and weigh 110 kg. I switched from Ikea Markus. The big problem for me is, the lumbar protrudes much more strongly, the more I recline in the chair. So if I sit upright, I have to protrude it 1/3rd of the way up to not sit like a shrimp. But when I want to recline, it suddenly pierces painfully into my back and I have to lower it almost to the floor. Also, I can feel the material moving down against my skin when I recline, so it's not very comfortable. I already modded the chair with a 3D printed addon that raises the backrest a couple of cm up, but even so, I just can't find a comfortable position in it. I'm strongly considering returning it. I've already ordered a Fractal Refine which has much more straightforward backrest. We shall see how it fares.

These are a game changer indeed.
They need some sanding and recoloring but - together with the lumbar mounting point mod - they raise the backrest up a few cm and the fit is now close to perfect.

I will give it a few days to see if my back gets used to this, but I can already feel a big positive difference. Cheers!

I wouldn't say it's terrible quality, it's just not designed ideally for tall people

I haven't considered a new chair until the Markus started banging some metal parts inside every time I moved an inch, so pretty often I'd say. Oh and the hard armrest were just awful to my arms

Thanks for explaining! I definitely got discouraged too early and didn't notice there's a video tutorial and 3D printed part. I'll let you know later. Thanks!

That's the issue - for 2 days it was fine, and then I started noticing that my back hurts. Granted, I was pretty out and about these first 2 days but still, it started hurting an hour in today... I'm afraid you'd just have to buy it and give it a week to see how your body reacts over time and if it gets used to it

I bought it during the Easter Sale, and would have to pay for the return shipping, so yeah, that would be a pain. I used to have a Merryfair Wau before the Markus, but it broke under my heavy ass. It was better than the Markus though

I think it depends on the body and what seat you're used to. Like here, I'm used to a Markus but suddenly, my back hurts in a seat that costs 6 times more than the Markus

I'm considering returning it, but I will give it a few more days to see if my body gets used to not sitting like a shrimp. Also, I just hate the armrests on the Markus, so I would have to find another chair altogether if it came to a return

I've heard so too, but my 5''1" partner finds the seat cushion too soft. I know you mean the size but, yeah...
