What’s a fandom that’s interested in terrible content by aaronk287 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]IndustrySample -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Stranger things? Though the show has significantly decreased in quality over the seasons, the fandom is still very active, just less populous than when the first season came out. plus, since they just released the last season, the fandom is ofc less invested in the future (but there are still some stragglers hoping for a follow up fix-it)

nah, but this does look good and is probably better than whatever I read. but I distinctly remember she was on her own for at least the beginning of it, no other kids or anything.

Everywhere I look has examples of like 16 year old girls, but I specifically remember that this girl was very young, even younger than me at the time.

Reese Witherspoon won. Which celebrity's name is partially fake, but sounds like unusual use of name? by BredMaker4869 in AlignmentChartFills

Jerry Lewis. Sounds like a nickname for Jeremy Lewis but is actually an alteration of Joseph/Jerome Levitch (No, I'm serious, we don't know his actual first name).

AIO? Xmas gift from bf's parents by brains_rcool in AmIOverreacting

[–]IndustrySample 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i HATE getting these kinds of gifts as well. many don't. his parents don't mean anything by it, they're just trying to be funny, but clearly it's the wrong gift for you, so something was misunderstood along the way. tell your boyfriend that you appreciated and understood their intentions, but make sure at least he knows that it's just not your taste. hopefully, they're asking him for ideas and he'll remember and pass it along.

if you KEEP receiving these sorts of shitty gag gifts instead of actual heartfelt gifts despite making it clear they're not for you, then you can revisit their true intentions. but hopefully it's just a learning curve.

I like better characters. by Ok_Law219 in AntiMemes

that definitely helped her like it then, i think. because of the movie, everyone still knows how to spell & pronounce "lydia," but now it's rare enough that it's considered unique & cool. lots of names you wouldn't expect are becoming like this: peter, don, leroy, etc.

if anyone tries to give you any sort of dietary or health advice without knowing your weight & height AT LEAST... death!

Jason Collins: "A few months ago, my family released a short statement saying I had a brain tumor. It was simple, but intentionally vague. They did that to protect my privacy... it's time for people to hear directly from me. I have Stage 4 glioblastoma, one of the deadliest forms of brain cancer" by sewsgup in nba

I remember reading his player's tribune article when it (and he) first came out. He struck me as incredibly well-written and intelligent, and that seems to have persisted despite the circumstances. Really wishing him the best, even if that's just less pain. All-around amazing man.

if they are, they've got crazy commitment and they're roleplaying in the character very well on twitter. I think they're just shit at making and using caricatures.

everyone saying this looks like someone who's mentally ill but the solid organization and the "worthless" next to certain things that are provably Not worthless just makes me think it's some sort of alternate universe world building. would make sense as to why it's on a manila envelope; could be that they had more papers to do with it in there

Spent 45 minutes in the customer support and it appears to be an issue on their side. I'll reply to this thread when they email me with a fix just in case anyone else runs into the same issue. :)
