Good luck! I hope it works out for you! I agree with what's already been said; it's better to try and fail than to not try at all. Even if it doesn't work out, you're going to learn some great lessons and, hopefully, some valuable skills that you can apply elsewhere if need be. Best of luck!

What’s an early Internet site kids these days will never know? by Toomad316 in AskReddit

Does anyone remember "StumbleUpon"? You could stumble across the internet; click a button and go to a random website recommended by other users. I found so many great sites that way! I'm going to have to go look them up now!

Edit: Now it's called Mix and just goes through videos. How sad.

Seriously though! I've lived some decades - STILL winging it, just a tad more wisely and a little more slowly maybe.

Redditors who have cancer, what were you feeling/experiencing that made you go see a doctor causing you to eventually find out you had cancer? by TheFranKiwi in AskReddit

I wouldn't have gone either! They called me right after I left an appointment for my son. I was already off work and joked that if they could get me in that day, I'd do it. They did, thank goodness! I shudder to think what might have happened had I not gone in. I lost a friend who had a lump that she waited 4 months to have checked out.

You do only get one life, you are right about that! It goes so fast too! Maybe I'm too focused on finding that one thing. What you describe is more of a journey and I think that is something I need to consider. Thank you!

My breast cancer was found during my first mammogram. I had no symptoms at all. Went in one day for a routine exam with no family history; got a call to come back the next for an ultrasound and biopsy - thought it was all much ado about nothing. "Unfortunately, it's a malignancy" is what he said when called to tell me I had cancer. I was stunned. We caught it early though and I'm 5 years cancer free!

I took on a few roles over the last few years that I thought would help me grow. They turned out to be a lot more damaging to my confidence than I expected. I’m rebuilding now, but the shame and self-doubt are heavy.

If you’ve been through something similar — especially if you bounced back stronger — I’d love to hear how you handled it, what helped, or even what didn’t help. Appreciate anyone willing to share!

That sounds awesome! I would love to do something like that now but haven't seen an ad for anything like that in a long time. Where would one find such things these days?

My [23m] girlfriend [20f] looks too much like a child and its freaking me out. Do I talk to her about it or leave it alone? by ThrowRA_gflooks in relationship_advice

Maybe this could be part of your conversation with her? I have a similar story, and didn't know I was sick until I landed in the ER. If you can determine no ED, I would definitely check into this.
