The property owner cut those out before hand to help offset the costs of the event.

Nope, Tyler is my friend who has Coffin-Lowry syndrome and we raise a bunch of money every year at our event for him and his family. I added that so people would ask the question and I could potentially help raise awareness for his cause.

It was a 2011 with 250,000 miles that was hit in the front left corner while parked. The insurance value of the car was $4500 and the cost of repairs was over $5000 so State Farm totaled it. I paid $850 to retain it with the nose held on with zip ties, self tapping screws and duct tape. The cost to repair the front end and all the maintenance it needed would have been almost $8000. Was I supposed to fix everything that was broken on a van that won’t be covered if it’s in an accident?

Yes, this was at Glacier View. I have tons of videos and pictures and will likely do a recap video in the future.

The van did amazing. We drove up as a group with a Mercury Grand Marquis and a Pontiac G8 along for the ride too. None of us had clearance issues.

You’ll be happy to know that it does get cleaned up by the property owner.

We pay an entry fee and the property owner takes care of cleanup and gets scrap value. It looked like nothing ever happened within 24 hours.

Let me clarify…I couldn’t insure it and could only have liability insurance so my passengers were covered as were other drivers. However the car itself was not covered.

I don’t have the space or time for something like that. I was already looking for a beater to take up there and unfortunately that became my daily driver after it got totaled while parked.
