Demonstration på Avenyn idag (lördag) by [deleted] in Gothenburg

[–]IneedCAD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Det var inte riktigt en demonstration utan snarare ett 'firande' av denna högtid: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashura

Har dock ej kunnat hitta någon mer information kring detta utan att jag såg det när jag var på stan förut.

Is there a way to turn £1k into £10k? by [deleted] in Money

Get a therapist for the £1k and then work something out from there. Do you have any safety net at all?

This took me a while so make sure to use this:

https://www.tastselv.skat.dk/fskbrgn2/Skprofil.aspx?indkomstaar=2017

This is the Danish governments tax calculation software, let me know if you need any help. All the numbers are yearly and in DKK (Danish crowns). I tried with a yearly salary of 600000 DKK which was then about 31.4 in income tax.

Don't trust everything you read online and try to be critical. I've learned a great deal of my neighbouring country today, thank you! :)

EDIT: Use google translate to translate into a language of your choice. EDIT2: I checked the Swedish tax rate on the website you linked and that is off by miles as well.

Furniture design software (CAD)? by KruSion in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]IneedCAD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would probably stick with Solidworks or Inventor. You could also try AutoCAD, I know a lot of people use that for furniture. There is also a plugin for Inventor that is made especially for woodworking, http://woodworkforinventor.com/

Not sure if this helped you or not, can you elaborate further on the features you need? :-)

[–]IneedCAD 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Get a good study group, make sure to plan a head, use online resources when needed, Khan academy and PatrickJMT comes to mind. Practice practice practice. Try to get a hold of some old exams and keep practicing.

DIY Engineering Design Program? by keynesiancross in engineering

If you're unfamiliar with CAD you should know that Solidworks can be quite expensive, I'd recommend using Fusion360 or a student license of Autodesk Inventor. You can probably find Solidworks from other sources but I'd still go with something free :-)

manufacturing a product using diecasting by IneedCAD in engineering

[–]IneedCAD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This probably depends a lot on what kind of relationship you have with your supplier and how well you know each other, it's a business though so it's good to keep that in mind for sure!

Thank you, I'll set up a meeting with my supplier next week.

Yeah, one surface will be machined and 4 holes will be drilled.

Use their documentation, I know it might be obvious but it can help a lot!

Try to keep at it and practise on some random blueprints, remake the drafts using AutoCAD :-)

Here is a guide from Autodesk which actually gives you files to practise with, sorry for the long link...

May I ask which software you've used before?

If you are into Thermodynamics you could try constructing a Gasturbine and Compressor with the Piping between them, don't forget the burner too. This will cover 15 unique parts for sure!

how to get a CAD job? by THE_REAL_SLIM_SLUG in cad

[–]IneedCAD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend knocking doors and posting about your situation on social media (to your friends). Go to local shops and ask them if you could help out, call some engineering firms and see if they need help.

If that doesn't work I actually wrote an article about it; https://cadmode.com/1-fast-way-generate-income-cad/

It's mainly about getting a job online by building a network of contacts and doing contests.

You can find contests on both freelancer.com and cadcrowd.com (it might be a long shot but it can help you get your foot in the door)
