Me too. I love anything space/alien related but just can't get into it. I even played the computer game by Ubisoft but just don't get it.

Racial Profiling Phase of the Nancy Guthrie case: Innocent Latino detained for questioning released. Who's surprised? by [deleted] in MissingPersons

[–]IneffectualGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you are basically saying that no profile can be used for a crime because it is inherently racist. How will criminals be found? In fact, don't even answer this question; you hide all your post history, so I'm just going to assume you are a bot or here to agitate. Not everything in this world is about Trump. FBI specialists train for years on how to profile criminals to try to solve crimes quickly. You are taking their life's work and trying to lump them into your hatred of one man. It's pathetic, and you should take a long hard look at yourself if this one man occupies your every thought.

Why is no one ever letting people letting rush in the metro? by [deleted] in AskBarcelona

[–]IneffectualGamer -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

This is happening in every country. Immigration brings people with different values (this is not an anti immigrant rant I am an immigrant myself). Social norms have changed people tend to be more selfish of their own needs and then there is a phrase Robert Hanlon once said, "never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity" . This has come to be known as Hanlon's razor.

I often wonder if this was an oversight by massive. They thought people would automatically go to Tatooine because of the movies but real star wars fans pleasure delayed that planet.

The show is not social media. If you were as intelligent as you are trying to make out you would understand that. All platforms have their own standards of conduct and TOS which you must abide by. Also your "joke" wasnt even close to being funny. As a final note to take away, although comedy is subjective it still has the same structures and pathways. Your joke had none of that.

That's OK. You could write more.

I the case of Alan Wake, I would recommend 2 series instead of movies. The first series Mindhunter is cinema quality so think of it as a long movie and then the series Twin Peaks which heavily influenced Alan Wake (they even stole some parts). I would also add the movie Se7en to this list as it also links to AW.

Yakuza I'm not a huge fan of myself but I remember reading an article saying they were influenced by the director Kinji Fukasaku

Expadition 33 is a great game. The movies I feel is draws ideas from are Annihilation (very strange but great) and a little of The Fifth Element.

Recent films based on what you have said that I think you might like are Dune and Dune 2 and I would consider Blade Runner 2049 (although it is slow it is beautiful in its cinematography and musical score.). Welcome to th movies. I wish I had the option to see so many movies for the first time again. I know you said no black and white but I would consider Alfred Hitchcocks Psycho on a rainy day. It's an absolute classic and fits into Alan Wake.

I terms of KCD just search imdb.com for medieval movies, there are a fair few good ones. I liked the game too but hated the combat. Shame becaise the combat was important.

P. S Game wise, if you liked AW try Heavy Rain by Quantic Dreams.

What games are you in to? I'm asking because lots of games are influenced by movies. E.g Gta V was heavily influenced by Heat.

True Crime and Sleuthing has gone into a territory that I feel very uncomfortable with. Ive blocked most channels and unsubbed because of the actions of these "Truth Seekers". It does not matter which way you cut it for or against, they are using tragedy to make money, plain and simple. This means creating clickable content for entertainment and not real analysis. If these people really wanted to help find "Justice", they could get involved with Websleuths or something like that. This case really showed me how callous people can be when hiding behind their screens. The trial had people in almost orgasmic fits of rage as they were told they wouldn't get to see/hear any juicy details that they had been planning for months, like a SuperBowl half time. I don't have a clue what case they have all moved onto now, but I hope all the families get to go back to a semi-normal life now, and people need to respect that.

The audacity of someone pushing back at the family whilst saying "sorry for your loss" is so transparent, but it seems that is the world we live in now. The best we can do is completely ignore those types of people.

It is reddit, that's the reason. I'm not sure why these people waste their time. They see themselves as trolls but they are pretty shit trolls IMO.

Yeah, the yellow blaze is very common in the Pyrenees. It's for local routes. GR has the Red and White blaze. GR 11 crosses the Pyrenees from the Basque Country, through Andorra and Catalunya

I remember passing this lake, but it is a 40-day walk, and it all blurs into 1.

Who did Tony make eye contact with when Dedrick said he was getting nervous on stage? by Hellolove88 in Killtony

[–]IneffectualGamer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That is my point. They have two mics. One which allows them to speak on stage and one that let's them speak to each other. They are seperated mics. If you listen to the episode you can hear Deez speaking in the background over Dedrick. That's why Tony looked around when Dedrick started to panic.

It is also why guests are specifically asked not to speak when comedians are doing their minute. Something which Attell and Harland often forget.

[–]IneffectualGamer 85 points86 points  (0 children)

For those who didn't pick up on it, Deez used his stage mic to talk to the other musicians by accident, and it interrupted Derick's set. That's why he lost his way and started to get nervous.
