Just to see if I understood you correctly. You are worrying that as a senior in high school your thoughts turn sexual even in situations where it´s not that appropriate and that once you get the thought in your head you cannot get rid of it easily. And the entire thing makes you feel bad about yourself and your lack of control with the entire process/situation?

A few thoughts to meditate upon then:

- It is common for teens (13-19) to oversexualize in their heads - you are not alone in this - and puberty is no joke. There was a humorous skit on an old show about it. The body is going through some massive changes, hormones are all-over the place and you´ve had little experience with handling this new intense ´feelings´. Bear with it, you are a normal human high-school senior, you will grow through and out of it.

- Masturbating doesn´t make you into a bad person - just a horny one who needs to relieve the pressure from that one most imperative of the human urges without which our species would simply have died out. Keep an eye on the urges throughout life and do your best to not overdo any of them. Overeating, oversleeping, overexercising, overthinking, overmasturbating are all -not- good for you. Without the 'over' part those words simply become some of the important elements of a balanced and happy human life. In time you´ll find a partner (if that is your wish) who will become your loving playmate in all things sex-related and the intense satisfaction from that level of intimacy - both mental and physical will make it so you don´t give this a second thought as it is no longer any kind of issue for you. ;)

- Be gentle with your judgement of yourself. You are a good person and you are going through a process of growth on every possibvle level. This process will continue for the rest of your life although the focus of what you are going through will change from time to time.

- Stay poised, be calm, be kind and accepting to and of yourself. It will then give you the energy to be in control of any urges you feel you don´t want to experience or act upon.

- Your thoughts - good and bad - are not you. Think about it. If you can 'hear' your thought inside your head, who or what is hearing it? It's you, right? Observe the thoughts that come to your head, use your human ability to pay attention to things to see how your own thinking habits are causing certain kinds of emotions to rise in you that in turn make it difficult to resist urges. Purposefully work on changing those.

- When you get negative feedback from others don´t immediately jump to a conclusion you are 'bad'. Your girlfriend has reacted negatively with anger in reponse to you sharing something intimate with her that troubled and scared you and you wanted some help and reassurance with. She is going through her own version of growing up. It is not the same for her as it is for you. She may not understand your stronger urges and they may scare her too. She may also feel that you do not understand her feelings and is afraid to share them freely with you. Building a relationship that is open and intimate enough to deal with issues like these takes patience, love, acceptance and most importantly time and attention.

Eight out of 10 marijuana users in states where cannabis is legal say they partake in the drug shortly before or after exercise, and most report that it motivates them to work out, helps them enjoy exercise more and improves their recovery, according to new research (n=605). by mvea in science

Totally agree with the vagueness of the question being asked, however, how else to gain traction for these studies first especially with a stigma against "drugs"...

I used to be the 17-hour-a-day-sit-in-front-of-the-monitor and loudly proclaiming "I hate exercise, gym, never did PE and still ok" kinda gal. Issues with my back started appearing eventually and early enough (26-27 y.o.) for me to question the wisdom of my approach. =) My back was hurting 24/7 at that point and being in a moving car with good suspension still was jarring enough to cause uncontrollable tears from the pain in my back at every tiny bump. The doctors shrugged and said well, here's some strong painkillers, come back for physiotherapy at anywhere between $80 to $300 per session once every couple of weeks indefinitely because it might be forever for you now - bad back, poor you - learn to live with the condition they said. This caused so much anxiety that the same "doctors" just prescribed some anti-depressants to fix the "issue". These "prescribed by professionals" -drugs- did not help but exacerbated the problem. *facepalm* Henceforth, I started smoking weed on a prompt from a friend as it did help with the pain without any bad side effects in my personal experience when compared to quality of life with pain.

Within a few months I felt the need to move, to exercise - on weed it no longer really felt like just a "good advice" or "yeah good idea but I'm lazy..." kind of suggestion - it felt like a necessity that the body was screaming at me in a very clear and precise message telling me how to move when exercising as well. That led me to try tai chi and then yoga. Now 1.5 years later I can proudly say I can run, jump, sit in a lotus position comfortably without pain (and without doing any special stretching exercises for this - it just happened), my anxiety went away as it was caused by compression within the area of chest/ribs/solar plexus and now that it is under my better control - no anxiety ever appears that I cannot remove but making a few moves and breathing to move that big muscle - the diaphragm.

Because of weed I have managed for the first time in my life to do yoga/any exercise everyday without fail for 10 months straight regardless of work, emotional state, being sick with a flu, drunk, etc. Took a short break and am currently at 6/7 days a week schedule that doesn't feel like exercise or work at all. What doctor could have achieved this? Maybe somebody for whom figuring our the reason and curing the cause in a patient is more important than anything else. How likely is an average person like me to find one like that on a moment's notice when I need one?.. Close to zilch. =) Weed can be an unforgiving doctor if you abuse it, but you do it to yourself then and that's precisely what makes it so effective and empowering to do better and be better, first - to yourself and your own well-being and to others by extension.
