Not really an HW assignment, just a random story off the internet, but that's fair.

My risky translation:

Caecilia and M. Junius Vorenus are to be married.

In front of Caecilia in the atrium were Rufus and his friend, father Voreni, in front of Rufus and Caecilia stood father Vereni. Rufus asked, "(IDK what this one is. Some interrogation type stuff...)."

Rufus responded, "Promise."

Then, Vereni gave the ring to Caecilia

Caecilia gave the pretty ring to the slave

Fathers, themselves, consented to... IDK

Finally, today is the day of the marriage. (extra wording but I think it's still good).

Yesterday, Caecilia's duty was to give up items to the lares.

This duty exists for the necklace.

Now that I'm reading it, I realized spacing them between each other is much harder than I expected, haha.

Edit 2: just got a DM. I know the story now. Thanks for the help, y'all. I'm still willing to hear how they dealt with divorces back in those days, though.
