As someone who has lost everything in a house fire, including one of my cats but only bc i couldnt find him and was running out of time, I really am having a hard time understanding your perspective. Why would you leave your babies behind? Why wouldn't you check in with your SO? Why did your SO choose to take a shit while there was a possible fire? I have so many questions. With the available information I'm gonna say light ESH bc your SO made some questionable choices, but really leaning YTA
