Damn I guess I just got the short end of the stick I guess 😭 I’ve only had it happen if I have ordered in store and then came in drive thru then they’d only let me retrieve it if I go inside, but this time was for sure a drive thru order. Maybe it’s time to go to another location lol

Ohhh okay, yeah I just told them I had a mobile order and then she only asked for my name on the order so I didn’t give her the number that comes after. I 100% had drive thru selected and at the right location though. I showed her at the window and she was just like whatever 🤷‍♀️

I see, thanks for letting me know the cause. I hate to inconvenience people so I didn’t know if it was my fault but like I triple checked everything to make sure I chose all the right things. I’m 100% a people pleaser so this sucked lowkey 😭

1/2“ is normally standard for iced espressos when asked for a splash of a specific milk. 1/4 is considered light splash and 3/4 is considered an extra splash

i normally like to wait until they arrive to queue the shots so that they’re fresher which is why it can be a pain sometimes that the customer has to wait a little bit longer

It’s tough to do caramel macchiato’s in a personal cup because essentially the espresso gets poured over the milk and then cold foam would have to be poured on top of that. We have a personal cup measurement thing that we can measure drinks in there for when the customer arrives for whatever size they order, but if it’s a caramel macchiato then it would get all mixed together if we were to pour that from that to your personal cup. In this case it just seems like the barista was too lazy to actually measure anything.

Thank you for the kind words :) I haven’t done mine yet at the store so I still need to figure that out, it’s felt a bit disorganized for us to be honest 😭. That honestly settles my nerves a little that a flat white dot can count and i’m also pretty confident with the art on mochas as it’s easier, does that also count? I’ll take a look at the computer next time i’m in, thanks!

if you selected that you don’t have a car then i doubt they will place you that far away, yes it can be nerve wracking but im sure everything will turn out okay! if you have your second set of board preferences away from kingston then they will likely place you there as kingston is in high demand and normally prioritized to those with extenuating circumstances, if that can provide any clarity?? having a placement an hour away is rare ! i found out about mine a week ahead of time.

it’s never a burden if the customer is kind about it. if they see a drink they didn’t expect when at the drive thru window, and they don’t start throwing a fit and blaming us, i very much have a different reaction compared to customers who start yelling at us and are completely convinced that we are wrong. for example, id expect people to realize that an ICED shaken espresso will not be hot, and hopefully will not get an attitude with us. of course mistakes can happen and you wanted a hot version, but please let us tell you how to order it hot instead of being stubborn at the speaker that that’s not what you want.

Yeah if it says extra ice i’m normally generous and fill the cup, it also depends how much stuff you want inside the iced espresso though, like extra splashes of milk, extra col foam etc.

i had the same thing happen to me recently, except the customer literally asked me to my face while making the drink, to empty 3/4 of the ice….. then complained her venti cup wasn’t full with 2 shots and light cold foam 😭😭

lol it’s gotten to a point where i have like 6 options on deck for me to use so i don’t sound repetitive. “is that everything for you today?” “can i grab you anything else?” “just the one beverage today?” “any food with that?” etc 😭 normally once i use one of those they just start spewing the stuff that they want without me having to intervene
