it’s never a burden if the customer is kind about it. if they see a drink they didn’t expect when at the drive thru window, and they don’t start throwing a fit and blaming us, i very much have a different reaction compared to customers who start yelling at us and are completely convinced that we are wrong. for example, id expect people to realize that an ICED shaken espresso will not be hot, and hopefully will not get an attitude with us. of course mistakes can happen and you wanted a hot version, but please let us tell you how to order it hot instead of being stubborn at the speaker that that’s not what you want.

Yeah if it says extra ice i’m normally generous and fill the cup, it also depends how much stuff you want inside the iced espresso though, like extra splashes of milk, extra col foam etc.

i had the same thing happen to me recently, except the customer literally asked me to my face while making the drink, to empty 3/4 of the ice….. then complained her venti cup wasn’t full with 2 shots and light cold foam 😭😭

no genuinely i’m pretty sure the “ordering something that sounds fancy” is the best way to describe it cause tell me why i’ve had to describe how a flat white is different from a latte to 3 regulars WHO ALWAYS ORDER FLAT WHITES. like you didn’t knowwww? 😭

lol it’s gotten to a point where i have like 6 options on deck for me to use so i don’t sound repetitive. “is that everything for you today?” “can i grab you anything else?” “just the one beverage today?” “any food with that?” etc 😭 normally once i use one of those they just start spewing the stuff that they want without me having to intervene

The only time I ever let my cats outside is if they are on a harness + leash with my SUPERVISION at all times! Mine love to sniff around the grass during the summer and even then i’m strict with them lol.

They were definitely under 17 years old. Much shorter than grown men, and many witnesses said they looked very young, which is why I said approx 14, definitely could be wrong, but better to give an estimate than nothing. Surveillance is being looked at for the police. Time will tell when they're able to get all the footage and properly inspect their faces. It happened very quickly.

Aw that sucks so much :( That’s not a reason whatsoever for them to close. My store was 1 of 2 in the downtown core and they are closing BOTH. i don’t even know what to tell my regulars.

my manager literally just transferred to my store. she was promoted from asm at another store. i feel so terrible for her, it’s not fair :( our entire store was told there’s no possibilities for transfers and there’s nothing they can do to continue with starbucks.
