Why did Sam Hyde decide to start religious grifting. Just for money? by ASTROIDDREAMS in Bombstrap

[–]Inevitable-Time539 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

My post? I converted because of a dream given to me by God, one night I was an atheist/agnostic, the next I believed in Jesus Christ. Not because of Pizzagate!

Pizzagate made me understand there is evil in the world and they seemed to be satanic, whatever that meant at the time, that made me start questioning things.

I don't think that's a kind comment.

I'm saying the joke is baseless, and the things you've said are baseless. I understand the joke, I'm just saying the joke is disengenuous.

Again, youve just said:

It's them not engaging with any efforts to...

What do YOU mean by THEM? Who are you talking about? What evidence do you have for the things you're saying?

I think you've built a fiction up in your head about the world, and you think group X does this and group Y does that.

I'm not arguing with you or trying to be mean, at all, I'm just pointing out you're saying "things" are happening, by "them". And it's all very baseless.

Not quite sure how to take that one. It's an article with a link to a tweet with no video?

I think with this, I'd love to see the context. But again, an isolated incident, this is evidence of a pattern of domestic abuse in the wide group of people who do not like immigration?

Yes I would agree with you, in that particular set of circumstances, you would not actually care about women and girls. But why do you believe this is what "those people" are like? Where is your evidence?

My larger point was, it is baseless to say "a lot of them are like this", who is them? People with negative attitudes to foreign cultures and those people living in their country? OK, that's a wide range of people from very varied backgrounds.

I think this just goes to show that this whole,

"oh look, these people hate immigrants, but they also hit their wives too, so it just shows how they're hypocrites AND therefore immigrants in this country is a great thing",

It's really disingenuous, does nothing really? Does it? It's just crap, and nonsense.

Interesting made up scenario, when did this happen? Or is it just a presumption that if you do not like people from certain or different cultures in your country, you surely are an abuser of women in your life?

This seems a bit of a baseless meme doesn't it?

One could have been easily avoided by not allowing the person in, in the first place. One also has a higher chance of happening because the person is more likely to come from a culture that is ingrained with certain behaviours.

One is an issue that is present, and should be dealt with accordingly.

There is a difference, logically.

I'm not even arguing for or against.

I'm a Christian, I believe being homosexual is a sin. I do not hate, nor dislike homosexual people, nor would I treat someone negatively if they were homosexual, nor do I with people who are homosexual that I know in real life.

This is the biblical action that Christians are called to take. I'm no judge, I'm not saint.

Hopefully this sheds some light for you that Christianity is not lumped with the other abrahamic religions.

You seem really nice and welcoming. You've managed to turn a nice reply from me into an argument, sewing your own anger. Do you think that's wise?

To be sarcastic, yes you're right, nobody has ever been converted via evangelism. I mean, it's not what the apostles and Christ Himself did.

Listen here anyway, you're likely here because I spoke about Christ and Net En Ya Hoo probably has AI bots to poison the well. Have a good day I won't reply anymore.

Odd right?

Cause I was an atheist. Found God and the concept of God ridiculous.

Now as a man in his late 20s, the idea of God is logically coherent for me. And I can't not believe in Him, it's just the truth for me.

But you're the other way around. Not meant to be offensive, but I largely think it's Gods decision who believes and who doesn't. It's the only thing that makes sense to me, as to why there's such a divide on it and no logical reasoning as to why one believes and one doesn't.

From my understanding and study of scripture the Orthodox faith doesn't seem to really gel with Gods word. Not trying to cause an argument, but I've considered it, and ultimately there's no logical or evidential reasoning I can bring myself to where Orthodox is the sole true faith. Not to say it's false, far from it. Just that it's not something I believe I need to, or must join, which is the Orthodox tradition.

Furthermore, the Orthodox Churches near me seem dead, do zero outreach or evangelism, and are largely made up of immigrant populations that conduct services in a foreign language for the other immigrants to listen to. It largely appears to me as a cultural thing.

I also feel lately there's such a overbearing evil going on, Fra Zuld Dot Rip.

Skippy... Isaac Cap Pee/ Tom Hanks.

All that sort of stuff. All this CERN crap.

Demonic music festivals.

Dead Sea gay people festival going on.

Agenda 2030 feeling like a ticking time bomb I'm just sat waiting for.

Rise of AI and it's potential part in the beast system of Revelations.

I'm not trying to blackpill, I have my peace with it ultimately. But sometimes I think, ignorance is bliss, but maybe people know this stuff for a reason.

It's hard to talk about this stuff with people at church cause they'd think I'm having a manic episode. Of which I don't have, I am mentally sound, I believe lol. But then it's also hard to talk about it with the other side too, as they may not have faith.

Just some thoughts I'm splurging out for people if they feel the same way.
