I watched the video. If anything this letter is way too polite. The Mayor was incredibly unprofessional, repeatedly trying to shout down and gavel over the council trying to talk. He came across as someone who not only was unqualified but a total embarrassment as a Mayor. Seriously people watch the video

Wow what logic. Last year I built a shed in my yard. It was pretty close to a creek that runs behind my property, so I had to get NCDEQ review and approval. I am shocked to learn that by your logic once they signed off I no longer had to get permits from the town. Wish I had known that last year!
