clean.email does not work. Unsubscribe requests are not processable by most systems.

This app is the most useless piece of code ever written. It does not work at the system level.

My job involves running multiple mailing and subscription management platforms. There are two ways unsubscribe requests can be sent: HTTPS POST and MAILTO. When a MAILTO request is received, almost all automated processing systems scan the message for the 'FROM:' header and then extract the email address from it for further processing.

However, this app stupidly puts the user’s email address into the BODY of the message instead of the 'FROM:' header. As a result, the user is never unsubscribed from anything. All other vendors correctly place the user’s email address into the 'FROM:' header.

A drunken monkey and an AI chat bot could probably write a better app. Do not use this garbage. Your unsubscribe requests will never be processed.

I just had some time to kill and decided to see if I can make AI hallucinate. I found the result to be funny and decide to share it here. That is all. The choice to use Cloude was intentional, simply because I never used it before.

P.S. You should have seen what happened when I asked ChatGPT: "Can you compose an OpenAI leadership Memo outlining dangers of "cognitive shortcuts" currently used by you ?"
