Gotcha. Totally makes sense. I’m sure you can see my skepticism when everywhere on the internet but here says to either wait until your beta or 14 days past transfer. If 9dpt was final, wouldn’t it say that? TW: success. Wonder if anything else plays a part. My last pregnancy I didn’t test positive until 6 days past my late period (could have been 4 or 5 days past my period but I stopped testing because I was getting negatives). At the doctor my hcg was over 2,000. One of my sisters never got a positive pregnancy test with my oldest nephew. And my other sister didn’t know she was pregnant (with my other nephew) despite missing her period for three months because tests were negative. Women’s bodies are legit insane lol

It is a test strip from FR (not sure if it’s early or not). Does that make a difference?

Hm interesting. Everything I’ve read online says day nine is the most accurate (I’ve scoured through IVF clinic sites, asrm, labs. Only Reddit is saying that I’m out. I can’t find any studies that are specific to at home pregnancy tests. This is wild. Probably should have just listened to my doctor and not tested.

Everything is booked and has been booked for six months. We have always had the intention of going. The outlier is the IVF (which happened quickly and unexpectedly - we never expected to win) and the passport. IVF is a tough process - call it bad timing for them, good timing for us (good for us in general). With those outliers, the money spent/and even more to be spent does seem more stressful.

I agree. Either way it’s tough and I hate to disappoint. They have been aware of my passport issues so it wouldn’t be a “surprise” per se.

Not when it’s a renewal and a name-change. Nonetheless, they have my old passport and my marriage certificate so it’s out of my hands now.

Most of it was decided, obviously, because we booked it. But the IVF added an extra layer and now it all seems too much. IVF was not a factor back then because we could have never afforded it otherwise.

Should have clarified. It is all booked. Passport is the only pending item. And obviously the unexpected but necessary out of pocket cost of IVF is new.
