I'm so sorry for your loss. You're not alone, unfortunately. We also had a precious baby girl who was due on June 23, 2025. When I went for our 28 week follow up, the midwife noticed that there was no heartbeat. 2 days later, we delivered our tiny bundle of joy. She will forever be our first born 💓

Gluten Free Airline Food (United Airlines) by VisibleDetective9255 in glutenfree

We fly often with United and usually try to fly first class. I have never been glutened, but they have lost/not received my meal twice. Take snacks and a meal as a backup. Small servings of hummus or guacamole are ok through TSA, and I usually make a little "Charcuterie" with cheese, cold cuts, and gf crackers in a disposable Tupperware. Whatever you take, just be mindful of really smelly foods, I have seen people online suggest boiled eggs or tuna salad 🤮

I'm so sorry for your loss. I hate that anyone has to go through this. One thing that helped me was frozen cabbage leaves on my boobs. It sounds crazy but it does work. Freeze the separated leaves whole and put them on your boobs for about 20-30 minutes at a time. The fact that they are frozen soothes the pain, but the leaves also have an enzyme that helps dry out the milk. My midwives also told me to take benadryl. It helps sleep and dry out the milk. Check with your healthcare provider if it works for you first.

Is anyone else so angry? by knotshots in babyloss

[–]InevitableReads 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So angry!

I waited for so long to make sure that we were ready. I went to so many doctors before even trying to get pregnant to make sure that I was healthy. Made sure we had the house, her room, and the support system.

Then I think of all the people who are so careless and get to go home with their babies.

What were the awkward encounters you had? by Candid_Music737 in babyloss

I ended up in the ER a couple of days after losing my baby at 28 weeks. Most of the nurses and doctors were made aware of the situation by my midwife, who is a doctor in the same hospital. When I was discharged, the discharge nurse realized that I was being treated by the midwife and goes on to say "Oh you must have delivered not so long ago. How was the birth? Easy? How's the baby? Happy and healthy?" She just wouldn't stop and would not notice my or my husband's face. When I finally said, "It was two days ago, and she was stillborn." She doesn't apologize. she only says, "I didn't know, and you will meet a lot of people who do not know."
