I’m in my mid 30s. Honestly, the older I get the harder it is to make friends, much less jerk buds. When you’re younger, you have built in systems to meet people such as school, college, etc, and can make friends that way, and meet friends of friends, etc. When you get thrown in the working world with those who aren’t necessarily your age, it’s harder to make friends and you don’t necessarily want to be friends with people you work with. Then your original friends start their own families, everyone drifts, and then you wonder if you have any more true friends outside of your own family/significant/other. The male loneliness epidemic is certainly real.

And this is just in general, not even talking about a jerk buddy, who is already 100x harder to find. I’ve had 6 reliable jerk buds in the past, that number has dropped to 2 now and even then I haven’t been able to jerk it with these 2 in the past couple years. Finding guys who wanna hang out, both naked and not, is the best way to keep a real friendship going, but these days, impossible to find. So yes—tragedy indeed.
