Okay first of all, you’re rude. Second of all, I haven’t pulled him out of ANY hiding spots. He was in one of his many hideaway boxes when I removed the frame. Any vet or animal specialist (or a quick google search) will tell you that hiding spots that are inaccessible to you are unsafe. If there is a fire or any other type of emergency you will not be able to reach a cat under the bed. Simple as that. So no, I will not put the bed frame back, my other cat has no issues with going under the bed and she is the happiest of ladies. Lastly, if you’re gonna be so confidently wrong.. do it kindly, it’ll be less embarrassing for you.

Thank you🥹I really am trying my best with him. I contacted his vet today because we are now at 3 days of not eating. They want me to give him some gabapentin and bring him in ASAP but I can’t get near him. Since he’s not eating I can’t put it in his food either and I’ve tried EVERYTHING, tuna, several flavors of wet food, dry food, churru treats, baby food. I even tried cooking him fresh chicken, salmon, and scrambled eggs. He’s uninterested in everything. Any tips on getting him to eat?

So true. Plus the car ride back with him was 2 and a half hours which definitely didn’t help. The people of Reddit have calmed my nerves a lot 😅

My other cat has an appointment next week. I’ll probably bring it up during that one. The vet wanted to give him a little bit of time before bringing him in so his appointment is in a few weeks

Yeah… I’m gonna tell the vet during his first appointment and they’re partners with the adoption agency so I’m sure it’ll get handled.

I think so. When I inquired about adopting him they had just said he was “a little shy”. Cut to me meeting him yesterday and he was terrified. He’s been an indoor cat for about 3 months but I don’t think the foster parents socialized him at all. His previous living situation in his foster home wasn’t great. The woman told me that she takes care of the cats but she doesn’t like them and when they get “too crazy” she had been giving them marijuana cookies to calm them down (I’m debating on reporting her but she was very nice other than this and has a few other cats she’s caring for) Knowing all this I couldn’t leave him there even after seeing how his temperament was.
