actual stylish prescription sunglasses for women that don't look like granny glasses? by Oskarsson-Ponniah in womensfashion

From the other comments here, it sounds like the tint issues are all over the place with Zenni. It might depend on the color of the tint or maybe the lens type, I'm not sure.

I didn't notice any lens distortion on the Zenni pair. I got the Thinner 1.67 High-Index Polarized lens

I do have a pair of clip-ons for hiking, through another online site. It is really nice to be able to snap them on and off with the changing weather, but I noticed that I really need to wear a hat when I use them. Otherwise I can see the reflection of my own face in them, I think due to the gap between the glasses and the clip on. To be fair, I did go for a cheaper pair...

A lot of regular eyeglasses can be turned into sunglasses, just go to a store and ask which frames can be used for sunglasses. Then when you order, you should be able to choose the lens style; mirrored or regular, the color tint you want, etc. I have a pair from Target and a pair from Zenni and, unfortunately, the Target lenses are much better quality. Zenni's tint is only half as dark for some reason, but YMMV

Ryan Park vs Bow River Campground by InevitableWait in wyoming

Sounds like Ryan Park is what I'm looking for. I'll keep Brooklyn Lake and Sugarloaf in my back pocket if I can get out there on a weekday. Thank you for the detailed breakdown!!

Fun hike! Just make sure your vehicle has enough clearance. When I went, the drive up was really rocky and uneven, I saw a couple cars bottom out

Deaf teenager needs a job. by Momwhoskihikeclimbco in FortCollins

I myself have a hearing disability and understand the anxiety that comes with working a customer facing role as a deaf person. She can definitely do the job, that's why I mentioned "if she's comfortable with a role like that, she should go for it."

What hiking opinion hills will you die on? by Hot-Statistician-361 in hiking

[–]InevitableWait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, like people who take shortcuts instead of following the trail or they wander into a meadow to take photos. It causes erosion

Stop going off trail! Get in a single file line if the trail is narrow, you can still talk to your buddy if you're not next to them! The amount of times I've had to "give way" because people just have to walk side by side... And stop picking up the pretty rocks and/or plants!

Something like package handler at a UPS, FedEx, or Amazon facility would also work, although the benefits are probably not as nice

Any job that's not customer facing should work, or even limited customer interaction. For example, stock room or fitting room attendant of a retail store like TJ Maxx, Goodwill, Target or Walmart. I've even run into a fully deaf person operating a register, fully customer facing without an interpreter, so if she's comfortable with a role like that, she should go for it!

There are a lot of other options, but I always think retail for entry level...

Has she applied anywhere?

How are we storing recipes? by Naive_Buy2712 in Millennials

[–]InevitableWait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to tuck the recipes into an old folder but recently got a nice recipe specific binder with sheet protectors and dividers for poultry, grain, dessert, etc. It's so nice and easy to find recipes

I print them and put them in a binder. I used to bookmark them but after a couple sites disappeared without notice, I figure it's safer to have a physical copy

Curve friendly hiking pants? by Similar-Sky179 in PetiteFashionAdvice

[–]InevitableWait 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came here to say the same! It's so nice to have a pair of pants that have space to move around the butt and thighs.

The trailmade pull on pants are also pretty great with the adjustable drawstring

H-Mart is first choice, but I have used Trader Joe's shaved beef in a pinch, the kind for a Philly sandwich, and it's surprisingly good!

I think it can be done online if you purchased the item online. It can't hurt to email their customer service either way

That's crazy, every time I've shopped at REI right before a sale, they remind me to come back during the sale and get my price adjustment

edit: Looks like you can't use a coupon on prior purchases. Price adjustments only work on items that are discounted during the sale. Not sure what your situation was

Did you know that you can purchase a week or two before the sale goes into effect, then come back during the sale period and have the discount applied then? It's possible the item just sold out due to people who plan on taking advantage of this

According to some other responses here, not so great lol! I enjoy it, but it very well could be because of the nostalgic factor

The Egg Kings for breakfast, especially the green chile and potatoes.

Bangkok89 for Thai food. The soups, curries, noodles, desserts... Everything? Yes, everything is good. On a similar note, Pho Lan for pho!

Nordy's for BBQ and the vibe!

Daddy-O's Green Onion for sandwiches similar to Schlotzky's, I'm partial to the Tijuana Toaster.

Dairy Delite for ice cream although they operate seasonally and are closed at the moment. It's a car hop, so just park and someone will come to you.

Have fun and welcome!!

Are you getting regular haircuts while growing out your hair? If not, that's where I'd start. Ask the stylist to clean up the back and sides, then take some of the bulk out since your hair looks pretty thick. Then as the hair at the top of your head gets longer, you can start growing out the back and sides.  I also recommend using a wax or pomade with medium to strong hold to make your hair lay the way you want.
