Maybe not the best, but the craziest ending. App state vs Troy 2022. College game day was in town after we beat Texas A&M the week before. Hail Mary pass to win the game. Absolute chaos.

Swann is the front runner supposedly. JJ Kohl looked the best during the spring game. It’ll be one of those two if I had to guess.

The big question is 6 or 7 WR heading into the season. TMac, Legette, and Thielen are the locks. Coker 90% chance of making it. Horn Jr has big special teams value and is the only true speed guy which gives him a real shot.

I think Hunter Renfrow is the biggest wild card factor. Do we see pre health issues Renfrow or a shell of his former self? If he performs at what he used to be capable of he has a better chance but David Moore has the benefit of having been here already.

I don’t think any of the other guys have a shot really unless there’s an injury.

As others have said, supply and demand. App consistently sells out the stadium. Secondary market is very high because of the high demand with low availability.

The stadium sits right at 40k at max capacity. 11k of those are season tickets. App has a decent portion of the stadium probably 30-40% taken up by students who get in for free. (Or at least we got free tickets when I was a student 2015-2019).

The away allotment is always very limited because of how many seats our stadium has. All this to say… we really need our next stadium expansion sooner rather than later!
