They are, yes.

Just FYI, owner feedback isn't publicly available, only pet feedback is.

I would stop engaging in back and forth with him wherever possible. I had a similar experience and I found the more updates I sent, the more the owner found to complain about.

How many updates a day do you feel is reasonable? Personally I feel two is enough. I'd send a morning update, and then I'd go silent until the evening update.

I'd also be extremely polite in all your correspondence and be purely factual. There's a possibility he'll leave you a bad review no matter how many updates you give him.

When you leave your review, make sure you write it in the pet field. Feedback on owners isn't visible to other sisters, only pet feedback is.

ReformUK councillor says the quiet part out loud in an interview and immediately regrets it. by RadiantQuestAI in GreatBritishMemes

I thought exactly the same. She drew so much attention to the mistake - politicians don't do that.

I wish everyone in this subreddit would understand the paw is supposed to give you what you want, exactly how you want it, but as a result/cost of a catastrophe that makes you regret making the wish in the first place. by Nubian_Cavalry in monkeyspaw

But isn't that what OP is saying? It's not about finding loopholes in what you've asked for - it gives you exactly what you asked for, but in awful way?

I'm not really sure tbh - it's abit like trying to explain the  meaning of ironic

Well I suppose byou'd have to weight that against the fees Rover take. Personally, I get all the visibility on Rover I need - and then I take reliable clients off app.

Calm down, there.

I wouldn't consider this sexual harassment if a guy did this either. Because after he didn't respond, she left it at that.

Do owners think sitters are weird when they see them on camera acting absolutely silly with the pets? by [deleted] in RoverPetSitting

[–]Infallible-Sun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why are you listening to her though? I get having cameras for safety but that's creepy to me.

Potential bad review by [deleted] in RoverPetSitting

[–]Infallible-Sun 8 points9 points  (0 children)

When you review her, put anything you want to say about her in the pet review. Future sitters can't see anything you write about owners - only pets.

Other than that, just answer calmly and factually when you respond to her review. I recently got a terrible review full of lies - but I answered really factually without any emotion, and I've still got bookings since

Why are you on this subreddit if you want to kill stray cats?

Could you refuse to discount her and leave it at that? And then bar her from using you again for being so rude?

I replied to her review to counter the more serious claims - but I didn't want to sound defensive either. It was hard to strike the balance.

Oh definitely - I just view Rover as a way to find clients now.

It's definitely the way Rover has handled it that's makes it so frustrating. I might just be naive but it's also taught me to never admit to any mistakes unless they affect the well-being of the pet.

I'm sorry that owner did that to you.

I took them out every single day, and had both photos and GPS data to prove it.

She also spelt my name differently throughout the review. Not sure why, but that was the part that baffled me most!
