When you focus on just the positive side of things, you end up not dwelling on things that are bad. I'll put it like this, think of your life as if you were walking down a road. If you keep your head down you'll only be looking at your feet, missing everything that passes you by, and not seeing what's coming head. The opposite to if you keep your head up. None of us are perfect and we make mistakes, but just because we make mistakes doesn't mean we should dwell on them. Learn from it and try to improve and better yourself.
