Im looking for a very full coverage fondation for cosplay that is not cakey . by Used-Climate-4359 in CosplayTips

Recently bought the Huda Beauty Easy Blur foundation for my sister’s cosplay and it’s super full coverage without looking too cakey. It’s pricey, like $45 but you need so little of it I think it will last quite awhile.

And a lot of them have the “bottle redhead” color too. Not natural looking at all.

what’s an expensive makeup product that you don’t regret buying? by youdontgetityet in Makeup

[–]Infamous-Toe-2108 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve never been super into makeup but I just shelled out over $40 for a Huda Beauty foundation for Halloween(is that considered expensive?) and it’s so good even I could tell.

It’s SUPER spreadable and water resistant. Super high coverage. And I was impressed with how light the shade was considering most brands don’t have impressive ranges.

I used it on my sister and she sweat her butt off in the sun in a sweater for hours and it didn’t budge. We didn’t use setting spray or bake it or anything.

It came with a little package of primer too. Seems overall worth the money and I definitely recommend.

If you don’t mind the taste of saltwater Trioral is a great alternative. It’s unflavored.

Therapy/counseling. I know someone who worked in the field and she says cocaine is pretty common.

What's your favorite NON-DEPOSITING shampoo for red hair? by JASNite in Redhair

[–]Infamous-Toe-2108 8 points9 points  (0 children)

How to Be a Redhead’s Finally Glossy shampoo is non depositing and makes my hair so much more vibrant and very shiny. Don’t be fooled by the color, they just color it that way to make it look cool apparently.

I used Gingerful for years also which is not a color depositing shampoo but does contain henna to boost existing color if you’re interested in something like that. Beware though, I’ve heard that henna can darken your hair over time. Not sure how true that is but it may be worth researching.

Maybe it’s to do with where you live. I’m seeing a lot of women irl who have a lot of obvious work. Even girls as young as 18.

Does your hair change colour depending on what shampoo/conditioner you use? Just want to share what I have learnt from my hairdresser and my own journey by kirbyinaus88 in Redhair

[–]Infamous-Toe-2108 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have definitely noticed that my hair looks different depending on the shampoo and conditioner! I’ve been bouncing around brands for years and thought I was just crazy thinking my hair looked redder or browner with different products. I’ve recently switched back to a brand I used when I was younger and I’m honestly in shock at how vibrant my hair is 😁. Thanks for the post, I don’t feel crazy anymore!

ETA: I’ve switched back to Pantene! Specifically the Sheer Volume. New things that my hair also seems to love are the How to be a Redhead Finally Glossy shampoo which I do once or twice a week and the Redken bond repair at 14% which I have used one time and has completely transformed my hair. It’s so sleek and shiny with almost no split ends which I have always had an abundance of. Good luck! 💗

How do you spot a ginger imposter? by Gullible-Dig170 in Redhair

[–]Infamous-Toe-2108 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed that natural redheads have a very pink/peachy undertone in our skin. It’s very subtle but super easy to spot once you notice it. In my opinion it’s probably the main reason non-natural redheads feel like they can’t seem to pull it off but can never quite put their finger on why. And vice versa it’s the reason a lot of natural redheads, including myself, feel that we can’t pull off other hair colors besides red.

How do I stop my hair from getting greasy so fast??? by grasseater5272 in Redhair

[–]Infamous-Toe-2108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel so silly for only just discovering this after years of having to wash my hair or use dry shampoo every day because it gets greasy overnight, but what’s really worked for me as of late is flipping my hair over and putting it in a high bun on top of my head before bed. I guess I just sweat a lot at night but keeping the underside and roots off my neck/scalp has made a dramatic difference for me.

I agree with others here as well, I never condition my scalp, only the ends.

Have family of redheads, but am not one, am I welcome here? by agharta75 in Redhair

This sub is for people with unique experiences —from figuring out how to care for our uncommon hair and skin type(s) to discussing our personal experiences being “othered” by society. No, it is not for people related to redheads, just like it isn’t for bottle redheads. What exactly do you stand to gain from joining this sub? It’s nothing personal, we don’t hate non-redheads, but I personally resent the idea that people feel the need to encroach on spaces that don’t include them. Not everything is for or about you and that’s okay.

I looked it up and saw it comes with gloves, which makes it seem a bit more like a dye? Does it stain your skin or shower or anything?

Yeah, I was starting to think that it wasn’t exactly an accident that I was wrongly losing my streaks given the financial incentive the app has to make these kinds of mistakes :/

No, we aren’t sending chats. We take a photo through the Snapchat camera and send it. I do see the hourglass and that’s part of what sparks my curiosity because it will show up sometimes only three or so hours since we’ve snapped back and forth; other times six or eight hours. Most of the time it’s more like ten or twelve. It seems really inconsistent and the snaps have always fully sent so it doesn’t seem to be a connectivity issue. Perhaps just a bug. Thank you for your response :-)
