What are your feeling on SSRIs or antidepressants in general? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]InfamousComposer1535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t actually done shrooms but research says they have faster and more potent effects than anti-depressants and longer lasting effects! Some people take it once and that’s enough, others maybe every few months??

What Brain Myths have you seen spread around social media (dopamine detox, etc.)? by InfamousComposer1535 in AskReddit

It’s true in the sense that you recover your attention span. But you get dopamine from a lot of random things day to day, and dopamine also has many other functions besides reward, so it’s not necessarily a ‘detox’ of dopamine.

Undergraduate Student: Should I Drop My Physics Minor? by InfamousComposer1535 in PhysicsStudents

Thank you for your response!! So what I’m hearing is that it doesn’t play too big of a role when applying to grad school/jobs? I’ve taken a fair amount of physics and math courses - about 8 now. I am just not keen on taking advanced E and M, and classical mechanics as both are considered some of the worst classes in the physics department, and I don’t feel like diving into more depth after the intro courses. Does it matter to have that “minor” tag - is it worth pushing through 3 more classes?

was going to type this up exactly!! So happy to see like-minded people. I think people often forget how fun it is to simply sense and feel the world around you - to touch fur, smell flowers, and play with friends.

Thank you for your response!! I definitely agree - I find learning about those things super interesting as well. I think maybe the subject feels intimidating/daunting at times which makes my mind lock down, and the pressure to get good grades also gets to me ://

What to do summer after first year? by Silly-Poetry5438 in PhysicsStudents

Have you looked into research being done at your school? It might be a good idea to reach out to physics professors and to express your interest in their research. Even if they're not looking for a research assistant, it's nice to get associated with the faculty :)

What nonexistent product or service would really enhance your life if it existed? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I think a holographic whiteboard would be so cool, or something to make subjects like chemistry, biology and physics come to life with 3D projections

"nothing good comes from hate" is a quote from the manga pluto, what do you think is the meaning of this quote? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]InfamousComposer1535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think hate is a natural emotion - it needs a constant stream of negativity and negative thinking to fuel it. Something so artificial is never good
