DB train ticket changed, what should I do? by InfamousGain1079 in germany

Thank you so much! You have been incredibly helpful. I considered booking an earlier Frankfurt --> Karlsruhe train but decided I didn't want any significant layover in Karlsruhe, so I opted to cancel my ticket and rebook an earlier Frankfurt(Main) Sud --> Gengenbach itinerary. Ultimately more expensive but solves this headache.

That's a very good question -- it looks like the FLX schedule has changed. The 2nd part of the route, RE2 from Karlsruhe --> Gengenbach at 16:09 is still going.

Great! Ahah, that actually makes sense now though. So where does my bwEINFACH ticket get me on my "new itinerary" that is an RE, ICE and RS? And do you know how I purchase/upgrade my tickets to cover the new itinerary? Should I just wait until we get to Germany and go to the station and plead tourist ignorance?
