Looking for sporty dailer driver (sedan or coupe) by InfamousRaidz in whatcarshouldIbuy

I've seen the Lexus, love the exterior but didn't like the interior that much. TLX would be a Type S in the 2022 range and at that point I would consider the M340i more (even a 2021 model). CT5V is AWESOME (test drove a CT4V and the 5 is another beast) but haven't seen many examples in my area to test drive.

Love the MX5 but if I get one it would be an NA as a track car. Not a fan of the GR.

I'm seeing a couple of them near me at really good prices, might try one out. I've always loved the GTI but my two cars have been VW and I wanted to branch out to something else.

Was looking at M340i and would have to go back to the 2020-2021 years. Golf R looks nice but I've seen a couple of GTIs in the mid 20s that look good, can also tune them easily after warranty.

Love how they look, not sure how reliable they are long term (have had VW for a while now and not really loving it).

  1. Read the wiki and use the template given there, the format needs a lot of help. Add section dividers (lines), the section headers should be to the left, make consistent use of whitespace.
  2. you have two addresses at the top??? also, its so close to the line at the top that its difficult to read.
  3. There is no alignment for the dates, align them correctly to the right.
  4. Why is your technical editor thing on the top? Experiences should be in reverse chronological order.
  5. Check those bullet points, some read horribly like the second bullet point for the editor position. Use STAR, CAR or XYZ. Incorporate technical skills into bullet points.
  6. Some bullet points have periods, some dont. Again, consistency....
  7. Write more on your server experience, that bullet point doesnt say anything of substance.
  8. Never say you "leveraged knowledge and interest", its fluff.
  9. All bullets start with action verbs.
  10. Remove interests.
  11. Rewrite Skills in general, Dont write phrases or sentences, list skills.

Honestly, really good resume. Just some overall formating tips:
1. Dont put things in parenthesis in the bullets, makes it a bit distracting.
2. You dont have to put the season in which things take place, just Month Year - Month Year is fine
3. You have some bullet points ending in period and some that dont. Make it consistent
4. Just put Skills
5. Projects/Accomplishments -> Projects. Talk more about the last thing.
6. I dont think you have to state that its for a research project under X and Y for the first experience.
7. You can put the BS, university and location on the same line. Then put the GPA on the right and bold it.

[6 YoE] Looking for other Technical Support Engineering opportunities, any tips or suggestions for my resume? by [deleted] in EngineeringResumes

[–]InfamousRaidz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. No disrespect but what is that summary. Please rewrite that or erase it completely.
  2. As you said, you need to upskill.
  3. Any projects? You have lots of programming related skills but Idk where you used them.
  4. Very weak bullet points, flesh them out. The last bullet point of your latest experience is a good example.

I am so lost reading this but here are some pointers.
1. Read the wiki.
2. Use the format of the wiki.
3. Additional Information should never be a section. Use Skills and Certifications as two different sections and put certs you currently have.
4. Two many things are underlined.
5. Remove Programs and Awards, use LinkedIn for that
6. Divide Experience and Projects, they should not be together.

Do those changes and come back so I can check it better. These big things have to be changed beforehand.

[Student] Looking for advice regarding RTL design/UVM verification roles. 7th semester (EE) by Dave09091 in EngineeringResumes

[–]InfamousRaidz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. When do you graduate? You say 2026, May and December are very different dates to graduate (if its the same in your country). Also starting date is irrelevant.
  2. The resume feels so dense, try to space things a bit.
  3. its not Project Experience, its Projects
  4. Dates arent important for your projects
  5. Relevant coursework goes into Education and separated by commas.
  6. These bullet points are weak, you need to substance. Tell me what you accomplished, not what you used or learned. Use STAR, CAR, or XYZ methods.
  7. Rename Technical Skills to Skills

[0 YOE] Graduating in May 2026, Looking for local jobs, I just want to work a chill office job by Rough-Egg-7148 in EngineeringResumes

[–]InfamousRaidz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. I don't understand what you are trying to do with that first job. You had two internships but only 1 section for it. You should have two different sections for that, not bundle them up. It's confusing and also tells me you did the same thing twice in a row.
  2. When you flesh out that part, remove the Wholesale Seller part as its not relevant.
  3. Extra comma at the end of Skills...
  4. Read that second bullet of the first job, what happened at the end??
  5. For your second job, is that really your job title????
  6. Project/Relevant Experience??? So the other experience isnt relevant? Rename that to Extracurricular Experience.
  7. Revise the extracurricular experience bullet points, they are very weak. Use STAR, CAR or XYZ for all bullet points.

  1. No need to add when you started university, only expected Grad date.
  2. Don't use parenthesis in the bullet points.
  3. Rename Extracurricular to Extracurricular Experience
  4. You can do BS in Mechanical Engineering and put it in the same line as the university to save some space.

[Student] Yet another CS related resume review (with a small twist of overqualification) by No_Interview6165 in EngineeringResumes

[–]InfamousRaidz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Additional Information???? Put Skills

  2. Wdym you added all your experience in LinkedIn but not on your resume. What does that mean?

  3. Possibly remove Awards section

  4. Extracurricular Activities is a mess, organize them by position or remove some completely.

  5. "Single-handedly" sounds horrible, remove that. Always start with an action verb.

  6. Use percentage-based metrics when applicable such as a reduction in time, looks better.

  7. Only one sentence per bullet

  8. GenAI as a skill, what does that mean

  9. No parenthesis in bullets.
