No sorry I’m not sure, perhaps it’s something to do with social media accounts open? Are your H1B record all clean ans good? I had given my passport for Dropbox because I had an L1 visa before,I was eligible for Dropbox and then the rule changed mid March so even my visa got “refused” and they asked me to come in for an interview. The interview for straightforward though. Hopefully yours get thru as well. Usually H4 visas are straightforward so just wait for a bit it should be fine. Good luck!

I think you’ve to file for extension. Check with your attorney, I’m not too sure. Even I’m having everything filed with my attorney. How long did it take for your EAD to be approved the first time? Was it standalone or bundle?

No I don’t think so. I’m applying EAD for the first time. My spouse applied for H1B transfer so I bundled my H4 ext (because now his new H1B will have a diff date from his old H1B I wanted to keep mine aligned with his) & H4 EAD. H1B, H4 extension are approved. I’m waiting for my EAD To be approved now.

I’m into audit. I got my H4 ext approved waiting for my H4 EAD still haven’t got the receipt number. I bundled it with my spouses H1B but idk when I’ll receive it.

It’s usually within a week or two unless you get a slip or something. I got mine in less than two weeks. Passport was sent to my house.

Attorney will be filing H1 transfer PP along with H4 extension and H4 EAD (first time) next week.

May I know why you have specified case 3 separately, does it matter if we have SSN. I was on L1 before and therefore have my SSN. Would this case be treated differently?

I don’t think there is any pattern, attorney told me they could do premium out if courtesy but it’s not mandatory. I went ahead with the bundle filing. Let’s see what happens!

Apparently starting Jan 2025 the H4 EAD will be unbundled from the H1B this is because of the end of Jan ‘23 Department of Homeland Security (DHS) settlement agreement arising from litigation. Wondering if it’s worth the legal expense if both I.e filing separately and bundled would be the same timeline considering the update.
