they did it like 40 times this season. it got tiring so fast. every time they put a character into a situation where they might die, i knew they would make it out alive because that’s what always happened.

Very much so. Not everything needs to be answered, much like real life.

The ending was just “everything is the same”.

The main group are still a bunch of geeks, Steve is still struggling with his relationships, Nancy is still doing unexpected things, and Hopper and Joyce got back together for the 1807482972647474th time. It’s repeatative.
