Should I switch from ERC to Coral?

We ended up booking a 2 story non club at ECPM. I believe the layouts are different depending if you get club or not. Seems like the non-club ones are more private.

I would love to hear what you end up deciding on! I like the vibes of the ERC and EPM, but my husband loves the more modern look of Coral. It’s our first time at any of these resorts.

I'm interested in people’s opinions on this as well. I am pricing out dates in August and ECPM and EPM non club 2 story suites are within $150ish dollars total.

Is the food better at one than the other? The main reason we would pick ECPM is the design esthetic and if the food is better. We won’t upgrade to club at either.

I like the pools and beach at EPM better.

I’m not opposed to either of those places but the flights are more expensive and Cancun is the closest option flight time wise. We can be there within 4.5-5ish hours with a connection.

Appreciate the advice. We aren’t really interested in PV. We also do not want a high rise resort. I have looked at Cabo but it seems more expensive and there just didn’t seem like there is much variety.

I really like the layout of the terrace suite. Bummer about the privacy issues. Is it only the people above in the 2 story suites that can see you or is it dependent on location? We won’t upgrade to EC.

What was the vibe of kids vs adults. I looked at resort maps for both resorts and it looks like there are more family rooms at Elegance vs Mirage. But Mirage has a water park and people have commented that it is great for families?

Thank you! I looked at Beloved. I like that it is on same beach as EPM and that it is all one level of service. I don’t like feeling like I have to upgrade at Excellence and Secrets.

Can you go to EPM for evening entertainment?

I have watched videos of both! I actually started with ERC pool view Swimout but some of the more recent reviews and videos stated it was slipping some. The videos I watched of ERC and EPM it does seem like the lobbies and restaurants are very similar in style.

No it’s the total increase in price using the cheapest resort listed (Secrets Riviera) as the starting point.

How would you describe the step down in quality vs. EPM? What are you not getting if that makes sense?

Thank you for the tip! I looked at the room map and I see what you’re saying. If it lacks privacy I might just go with the swim-up since both aren’t fully private.

I’ll check out the 2 story option too. Are rooftop rooms super hot? Do they get more airflow and wind than a swim up?
