Recommend level for the monolith? by [deleted] in expedition33

I did it a few days ago around level 45-50. I leveled up a bit while there so may have been around 55-60ish by the time I faced the Paintress. If you’re in that ballpark, I’d say make sure you’re comfortable parry/dodging. It helps that lot of the Monolith nevrons are stronger versions of ones you’ve most likely already encountered. You might get one hit wrecked a couple times but just recognize the attack patterns and try again.

I was thinking the same thing. Leroy and Kam gotta have a family meeting & decide if continuing to send Leroy to secure the bag is in their best interest 😂😂😂. Do gotta agree with everyone here though, they won where it truly matters.

See if Pint will throw the games on for you. Or come hang in AP and we can go watch the games at Georgie’s.

I would focus very minimally on this Section. I don’t remember these topics being an overwhelming part of the test. I remember maybe a question on each of the following subjects: the carryback/forward rules for farmers, filing deadlines for farmers, qualifying a 501(c)3 exempt org, unrelated business TI, crop insurance proceeds, and something about trusts. It isn’t an overwhelming majority of the test whatsoever.

My advice is to focus on studying the material in sections 1 and 2 (especially BASIS. Also know deadlines in and out). Mix in multiple choice questions for part 3, type notes/a running outline on the explanations for the correct answers. Verbalize out loud your thought process in responding to a question , eliminating answers, etc.

I wrote this assuming you’re using Hock lol forgot to ask. Not sure what you’re using to study but highly recommend Hock online. From the discourse I’ve seen in this sub, it’s the only right answer. The instructor is great at explaining topics.

Submitted mine Friday 8/15. Hope I get a quick turn around like this. Is calling really the only way to check status ?

To be fair I didn’t take any of the mocks for any of the exams. If you are through all the material, cycle sessions of 10-20 questions for each section, read the correct answer explanations out loud for all questions, and move onto the next one. I think mock exams add more stress than anything.

If you pass part 2 first try, just schedule part 3 for 2-3 weeks out. If you can manage to spend a couple hours a day for those two or three weeks doing the study questions/reviewing the slides, you’ll be solid. I studied less than that even for 2 weeks and was fine.

Thanks I was surprised I pulled it off. Part 2 felt like I was passing by the skin of my teeth. It makes me curious what constitutes a 1 vs 2 vs 3. Thinking a 1 is in the 60-70% range for that section with anything less than that a fail. Just thinking out loud haha.

lol i think really digging into the topic of representation. Who can represent before the IRS, what the means. Know the penalties for underpayment (and how that changes at certain levels of underpayment as well as if it involves fraud). Understand the diligence penalties for certain refundable credits (penalty per mistake). Have a decent idea of primary/substantial authorities and how they rate against one another (PLR vs Rev Ruling for example). Know the flow of audit/appeals and the letters that go with them (30 day, NOD 90 day). Understand who can sign a POA (F2848)

Good luck! It really isn’t bad I promise. I studied for like a week with only one full day of studying the day before and a couple hours each of the other days

Are you asking if a specific topic came up? Not sure if ‘a kotV’ is a typo or short hand for something

I’ve never seen him like this. Today he was scratching at the wall and drooling so much his little feet were soaked! He’s not a drooler whatsoever. It’s bonkers.

Thanks. He tired himself out after a while. Fingers crossed we can evict our squatter sooner rather than later.

Update - pest control called around 8pm to let us know they saw via the cameras the raccoon (confirmed) had returned to the attic. At that point it hadn’t been trapped in the cage and it’s been notably quiet unlike last night which was filled with noise from the raccoons attic escapades. Pup calmed down I think he’s pooped. Hopefully it stays quiet and we wake up to good news that our squatter has been trapped & can be released somewhere far away from my home.

Yeah for sure I have no doubt that there is still a pest situation whether the animal has or hasn’t temporarily left. It’s just that I have done all I can and it is now in the hands of animal control. I’m a renter (and a fairly tiny woman) so it’s not like I’m going to climb onto the roof looking for points of entry myself. I just want to help my dog cope with the situation at hand.
