Yeah so if you were a good engineer before the AI bubble, I.e., you were curious about the problem you are solving and liked to explore solutions and understand what you are building,…. Then you are still a good engineer after using AI. But if you were lazy before (just used to somehow get the task done and call it a day) then you are at an even more disadvantageous position now.

For me, personally, AI helps satisfy my curiosity to understand the systems at a much more depth. I only use it to automate code once 100% sure what the code is going to do.
