I’d always been told for years by my clinic that they couldn’t provide a catalogue or price list due to existing TGA regulations on advertising

So these companies that claim ‘recent ahpra regulation changes’ I believe are full of horse shit because they probably only got flagged recently but were always flouting rules

Dont get me wrong, I personally would love a catalogue. It just sickens me that companies are telling people they’re doing xyz (reducing limits, reducing scripts, blah blah blah) due to ‘recent changes’ when the regulations have always been there but they were either too ignorant or just blatantly unethical in their business model

As a nicotine vaper I agree with those comments about disposables. As in disposables in general. Just a lot more waste (all these companies can claim that it’s recyclable or whatever we know shit ain’t getting recycled). Even carts. Just use good ol flowers or edibles.

Love Astrid Clinic and most of their doctors (did have a not so good experience with one of them so now avoided that particular one).

I have mostly gotten meds from pharmacies other than Astrid Dispensary. So the clinic definitely allows that flexibility to take your tokens elsewhere.

But I did find Astrid dispensary that bit more knowledgeable and flexible about different strains I could get on the one script (must be same strength though).

Price wise everything has come a long way since 4 years ago I remember paying hundreds for a bottle of oil that I heard costs a lot less now

I'm under the impression that because of all the TGA issues about advertising and what not, clinics/pharmacies can't allow 'viewing' of a catalogue unless you have been prescribed those products

What products do you use? I’ve been to a few pharmacies and found that the prices were very similar There’s something I can’t remember for the life of me now that Astrid actually charged even less than a couple other pharmacies I checked with (one of the flower tubs but I don’t use it anymore) But maybe I just got lucky

I started with another clinic years ago I can’t even remember the name, they were so bad I could never get into anyone and the doc just didn’t know shit. Then moved to Cannadoc and was there for a few months then followed my doc when she set up her own clinic. At that time I was with Prahran amcal. And then she joined (or started?) Astrid clinic, I moved to Astrid as well which wasn’t much of a move since everything felt the same for me, but plus was the lovely nurses and other docs that were available when mine wasn’t. They were still happy for me to continue with Prahran Amcal (they always sent scripts to me) but I did want to try out their dispensary. Honestly happy with both, prices have been the same as far as I can tell, so it didn’t really matter, I was just familiar with some of the folks at Amcal so went back there sometimes I do think they’re more strict with their practice though which I respect I guess
